Disgaea

Probably one of the best tactic games I have played in a long while. It follows the demon prince and his path to secure the throne of the demon world. It offers alot of humor, and alot of options. It is, in some ways, alot like FFT in its party formation, you can create a char. in a class, and move them and learn new abilities, and can customize your weapons and characters to a large degree, and offeres alot of innovative gameplay and options.

Has anyone else played it? I reccomend it if you like fun rpgs, or strategy rpgs.

Atlus didn't make it; they published it. Nippon Ichi made it.

If you liked Disgaea, they're planning to bring two of Nippon Ichi's other tactics games to the US; their first, La Pucelle and Phantom Brave. I'm excited.

Didn't we already make a topic about Disgaea?

if by "rocks" you mean "totally sucks."

I got the normal ending and I hate it. The "good" ending is awesome though.

I got the Good ending, and that was pretty cool. Now to check out some of the other interesting endings that don't seem too hard to get...

And Invasion From Within isn't horrible, but not that good.

Different strokes I guess. It's a song I like. I don't like the genre. But I like that particular song. The band does suck overall though.

**The song didn't really do it for me though. Maybe the battle SFX drowned out the song a bit. I do agree that Tsunami Bomb sucks though.

I never beat the game on my second time through. Maybe when I'm done with my copy of Mega Man AC, I'll pick it up again.

BTW, if you like Disgaea, I recommend La Pucelle Tactics(out now), and Phantom Brave(out late summer). They're all SRPGs by Nippon Ichi. Nippon Ichi kicks ass.

*Here's something fun I found out yesterday:

Circuit City is unloading a bunch of their games at $5 a game. If you happen to be able to find it, Disgaea is one of them. However, when I went there, they had NOTHING on the list of games I got. They might be holding them in the back, or they might have sold out of everything.

Sorry for digging this topic from its grave but I recently acquired this game and, well, it has consumed my life.

I'm on chapter 11 I think and I can't seem to put it down. There just seems like there's so much to do, I mean, yesterday I caught an enemy by throwing it into the blue starting square. I've been playing it for 2 weeks and I never knew you could do that!

Anyway great game, just don't call me 'mid-boss'.
