As of August 2021...

Pan's Labyrinth (Spanish)
Roma (Spanish/Mixtec)
Atlantics (Wolof/French)
Ip Man (Cantonese)
A Silent Voice (Japanese)
Happy as Lazzaro (Italian)
More titles here... -https://www.pastemagazine.com/movies/ne ... as-lazzaro

Do you watch foreign-language movies?
What are your favourites?
Do you like to read the subtitles?
She lives in the clouds and talks to the birds...

Happiest faerie of VGF.

'Castle of Cagliostro' is rad. Anyone who calls that one of Miyazaki's lesser flicks can pound sand.

I've watched the occasional foreign film but not many. I watched a lot of movies in English with Spanish subtitles. That is a good method of learning a foreign language, although the translations can be questionable, but they are more or less reasonable. The only thing I regularly watch with subtitles is The Mole (Netherlands and Belgium). I'd rather not have to read while trying to watch something, but it's fine. Although every time I play a game, I set English subtitles to on if that's an option.
To me, you are the teacher in the Charlie Brown cartoon.

In the rare instance I'm watching a German-language flick, I occasionally turn the subtitles off, just to see how my seven years of German are holding up ('not great' is the usual verdict).

Pan's Labyrinth is the only one that comes to mind. It's very good. I've certainly watched several others but I don't know what, aside from anime movies that are unavailable in English.

I do that too. I actually tend to do it with movies as well, in case there's difficult to hear dialogue, like whispering.

I do some foreign-language stuff. Sometimes dubbed (some Miyazaki movies, all of Jackie Chan's Hong Kong films, et cet), sometimes subbed (anime series, Pan's Labyrinth, et cet).

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"
