You're not short, everyone else is just freakishly tall.
Forgot to mention that plenty of sleep is needed. Its the time that cell regeneration occurs. (Not to mention all the other good things that occur during sleep, memory conversion from short to long term, and um rest, etc.)
Though I still say that you're not incredibly short for your age.
