Thanx gaiz.

She's been taking it better than the rest of us. She's actually been cracking jokes about it earlier. Seeing her in a good mood despite all this has made things so much easier for the rest of us. If she wasn't so strong, I don't know where we'd all be.

If they can remove both the tumors, that's fantastic. Hope everything goes as planned.

So, she's recovered from the surgery by now and this last week she and my dad went to Boston to see if she would be able to undergo the procedure I mentioned earlier in the thread.

It turns out it isn't going to be able to happen, because in the time she's been off chemo, the cancer has spread to her pelvic region and her liver. There's a chance she may be able to get a different kind of treatment there, though, but everything's uncertain right now.

Well, at least the liver regenerates, so that's something. It'll take a very long time for the cancer to stop it, & it's the easiest organ to replace even if it does get overwhelmed.
Our thoughts are still with you guys.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

My parents got back last night, and there's some good news. The doc over there said he would be willing to go through with the treatment, but only once my mom has the cancer in the liver and the pelvis taken care of. So for now, it looks like more chemotherapy before the treatment can happen. But at least it can still happen.
