So...It's a sequal to Secret Rings.

Ok.
-----------------

^^ IT would have been the first try, but i found out that Sonic's rings run out, and when they do Sonic loses his Super form.

In short, sonic loses his Super and goes sploosh into the drink.

I had Perfect Chaos down to one half though.

PC took me some tries. When I was in 5th grade or so.

I thought it was obvious that it was a sequel to Secret Rings. It sounds like nunchuck can be used, so maybe controls won't be so annoying.

Prediction: super form this time around is "Knight of the Round" Sonic or something.

Alternatively, "Excalibur Sonic". Knight of the Round seems likely, though.

also, stop getting sucked into stories sonic geez

Prediction: Knuckles is Lancelot.

I'm hoping the Sonic characters play more of a role. In Secret Rings, they did next to nothing besides making Sonic look crazy in front of that genie.

^It wouldn't have made sense in sonic and the secret rings, and it probably won't be likely for this either. I mean, secret rings was retelling aladdin basically and my prediction is this will revolve around king arthur somehow. My prediction is that Merlin will be Tails.

Lmao. This is gonna be hilarious I think. Sonic and King Arthur... suuuuuuure!

Anyway, I don't know much about this game or shadow the hedgehog but I'll tell you what I think is annoying about games like this.

Sonic is generally a game where you use the characters' abilities to 'defeat' enemies. However, when I think of Shadow the Hedgehog and this game, I think of characters using weapons to 'kill' people. I'm guessing there is no gore or violence so it doesn't LOOK like they're killing enemies, but my initial reaction is weapons = killing. That combo does not sit well for me. I believe that to be the inconsistent part of the Sonic series when you move from 'defeating' foes to 'killing' foes which is why Shadow the Hedgehog never drew interest to me. I'll admit this game would draw 'more' interest to me than Shadow though. How much more I'm not sure.

Shadow the hedgehog was surprisingly a pretty dark game compared to the other hedgehog games. Sure he uses guns but you don't always have to. You can use a street sign or a sword or your homing attack. They utilized the guns pretty well in my opinion. You may feel dissappointed but that's because you are thinking that just because it's not the norm and you haven't even tried the game yet.

Also, you don't even know if sonic ever really uses that sword or how the gameplay will be in this new game. You are thinking like this.

Sonic without weapons=good.
Sonic with weapons=bad (even though you never even played shadow the hedgehog or know anything about this new game coming out)

My personal opinion about the weapons is a welcoming one. It showed in Shadow the Hedgehog that Sega wanted to move their mascot series to a more mature level. They even stated they wanted Shadow the Hedgehog to be rated T for Teen. (which the ESRB screwed up on that) Sonic the hedgehog's new games have always had hints of pushes towards more mature storylines and such. Heck, we see Sonic die in 2006.

^And then come back after a furry scene.

I think it's pretty obvious that Sonic will be using a sword, seeing as he's trying to become a knight. He'll be using some weaponry, no doubt about it. Luckily, it isn't as extreme as Shadow...

The problem with Shadow is that Shadow doesn't NEED guns or motorcycles. It makes no sense to equip them on a character who has his own techniques and high speed.

It's okay to try to be more mature. Leave it at plot elements, such as death, blood or swearing. There's no need for guns or freaking vehicles. Eh.

So, Sonic is controlled with the control stick. Does that mean the game is more like the Adventure games, in a way?

Also, Knuckles, with dual-wielding, and Shadow confirmed.

This game could end up nice, but we'll have to see.

-”the team behind Sonic and the Black Knight is keenly aware of the franchise’s past missteps, and their enthusiasm for doing right by the series is infections”
mis-steps meaning Sonic 06 and Secret Rings.

You wonder why the hate on Shadow? (I think you're one of them anyway, I haven't been paying too much attention)

I liked Secret Rings. Was it the perfect Sonic game? No. Did it have a few problems with control? Yes. was it still an overall fun game? Yes.

Though for maximum pleasure, I made sure not to pay attention to the story, especially because cutscenes = voice acting.
and that's the waaaaaaaaaay the news goes

Packing a sword in Camelot is a smart idea. Knights didn't use Robotnik's standard small-birds-&-rodents-wrapped-in-tinfoil setup; their armor was actually good. Quills won't necessarily punch through.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"
