Breath of Fire 2

Alright, so I'm just playing this game on the Game Boy Advance.

I'm only at the part where you have to go into Highfort. But stupid Sten won't let me enter. And I'm starting to see some similarities between it and Final Fantasy X, heck even the thing everyone worships sounds similar. (eva vs Yu Yevon)

Don't jump out of your seat when you see HotD ingame. :p

In that case, HotD is a Windian, not a faerie. -CSM

This came out for Virtual Console, correct? I'm thinking of investing in it when my game queue goes down.

I hope it did. It gives me another reason to buy a Wii. I only played it on the SNES which was the worst translation for a game I ever played. -CSM

The GBA version actually still keeps the poor translation, I'm afraid. One of the times it's like "Ryu, opened the door right there on the side". (I don't know exactly, when you're rescuing Spar it sounds awkward)

And unfortunately, Bleu outclasses HotD-Nina so much and that's the best rendition of Nina in Breath of Fire. :(

I had heard the translation had been fixed up a bit for the GBA version. Hmm.

Dunno, honestly I prefer the slightly-gothic Nina.

And...*cries over Mina*

Sorry to double post. I beat the game.

Crazysnowman, I heard that Barubary was the hardest boss in the game. Is that right? I had a harder time with Deathevn than I did no Barubary - Most of teh fight with me comes down to luck. I dno't have any WiseBLs so when he does that "By god's power!" move it hits HARD.

I used Ryu, Rand, Bleu, and Bow.

I forget; I haven't played it in so long. I do remember Barubary being incredibly tough. -CSM

Barubary didn't really give me any trouble. Deathevn on the other hand just has that cheap-ass attack and Death magic that actually WORKS.
