Zelda, I wouldn't say Garnet is all sunshine and dasies. Yeah, she's a Summoner, but she's much more athletic and adventurous than Yuna was (Yuna WAS sunshine and dasies). But Ashe is the best heroine since Terra (I personally don't consider Vaan the main character at all, and consider it to be a toss up between Ashe and Balthier).

^^Garnet doesn't have the same gritiness as Ashe, but yes, she wasn't as bad as Yuna.

And I would have to agree with you in saying that the true main characters are Ashe and Balthier.

Zidane wasn't all that bad - at least he's no Tidus or Vaan. But, he still isn't ultra-cool. The only really ultra-cool character in 9 was Vivi. The rest were okay and average characters. But Vivi rocked.

And on another note, I too found it humorous when Yuna went from sunshine and daisies to super pop-star slut. I mean, WTF?
