What are your top ten video games that were released in 1999?
How many did you complete?
Out of the games released that you did not play, would you still like to play it now?
Do you still own any physical copies of games from 1999?

Re: Remembering Video Games from 1999
Looking back, just about every year in the 90's had a lot of great games. I'd say 1999 because that's when Dreamcast launched, while PS1/N64/Saturn/Neo Geo Pocket Color/Game Boy Color games were still released as well. That's a lot of systems, so a lot of good games. At the time my list would've looked a lot different, so it might be fun to make then & now lists:
Then:
Super Smash Bros.
Mario Golf
Pokemon Snap
Pokemon Stadium
Pokemon Pinball
Pokemon Yellow
Sonic Adventure
Sonic the Hedgehog Pocket Adventure
Donkey Kong 64
Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter
Now:
Ape Escape
Silent Hill
Final Fantasy 8
Resident Evil 3: Nemesis
Pokemon Snap
Pokemon Yellow
Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete
Sonic the Hedgehog Pocket Adventure
Sonic Adventure
Soulcalibur
Pretty amazing batch of games for one year, really. I've completed Smash Bros, Sonic Pocket, Ape Escape, Final Fantasy 8, Lunar, and Pokemon Snap/Stadium/Yellow.
There's definitely some games released then which I would like to try now. I never even heard of The Longest Journey, but it seems cool. If counting Japanese releases my list would probably be different (Shenmue released in Japan in '99, I want to play that).
I lost all of my physical copies.

Re: Remembering Video Games from 1999
RollerCoaster Tycoon was huge for me. That helped establish what would become one of my favorite genres.
Also really enjoyed Donkey Kong 64 and Sonic Adventure. Mario Party was entertaining for what it was, though it was just as annoying as it was entertaining.
Still have yet to play Chrono Cross, but I'm sure it was good. I played parts of Final Fantasy VIII but not enough to make a judgment. Grandia, Rayman 2, Crash Team Racing, Shenmue, and Disciples: Sacred Lands are also in my backlog. I can't even play games from 1999, let alone what's coming out today.
AOEII remains my least favorite Age of Empires game. It's too hard for me.

To me, you are the teacher in the Charlie Brown cartoon.
