...I've never seen this movie, I don't know what happens in it, what it's called or even what country it's from, but I want this poster more than anything.

Yup. Somehow it never occurred to me to do a reverse image search before I posted that, but that's the one.

...I could get an 18x24 print of it for nine bux. I could do all my christmas shopping in one transaction, come to that.

My favorite might be Akira.

Not to be basic and predictably Star Wars nerd about it, but the paperback novel style cover of the original Star Wars poster is another favorite. Empire and Jedi had good ones too. Raiders of the Lost Ark is cool too, on the subject of George Lucas films.

A little less popular, but Promising Young Woman had some great posters.

No shame in being a Drew Struzan fan--------that guy's a real big deal.

Which Akira poster are you thinking of? I've got a wall-scroll of that shot with Kaneda skidding his bike to a stop after playing chicken with the big Clown.

I was thinking of the one with him walking towards his bike. I didn't know the one you mentioned, but a Google image search came up with something that fit the description and it also looks great. Akira is just all so stylish.

^That's an iconic image.

I remember a one-sheet of 'Akira' from back in the day------------it's Kaneda standing there looking hard as nails, hefting that big old laser gun, and across the top it says, "NEO-TOKYO IS ABOUT TO E*X*P*L*O*D*E". I used to see it in ads in Starlog---------it's how I first became aware of 'Akira' as a goofy kid.
