Have you watched RoboCop?
Have you watched both the original (1987) and remake (2014) versions? If so, which do you prefer?
In 2028, multinational conglomerate OmniCorp revolutionizes warfare by introducing robotic peacekeepers capable of maintaining law and order. Led by CEO Raymond Sellars, the company moves to market its technology to domestic law enforcement. However, the passage of the Dreyfus Act, forbidding deployment of militarized drones in the United States, prevents this. Aware that most Americans oppose the use of military systems in their communities, Sellars asks Dr. Dennett Norton and his research team to come up with an alternative. The result is a proposal for a cyborg police officer. However, Norton informs Sellars that only someone stable enough to handle being a cyborg can be turned into one, and some candidates are rejected.

A Detroit police detective, Alex Murphy, is chosen after he is critically injured in a car bomb explosion arranged by crime boss Antoine Vallon as revenge for Murphy's investigation into his activities. Norton persuades Murphy's wife, Clara, to sign off on the procedure. Upon waking up and realizing the extent of his transformation, a frustrated Murphy escapes, but Norton shuts him down and brings him back to the lab. As Norton reveals to Murphy that the only remnants of his human body are most of his head (excluding parts of the brain), respiratory organs, heart, and right hand, a disgusted Murphy asks for euthanasia. Norton reminds Murphy about his wife's and son's patience, convincing him to live. During combat training with trainer Rick Mattox, Murphy proves unable to compete with the standard OmniCorp drones efficiently. Norton alters Murphy's programming to make him more efficient by letting drone programming take over his actions, making Murphy think they are his. This re-programming increases Murphy's efficiency dramatically, but leaves him less empathetic, due to his human nature being bypassed. That night, Murphy goes to his house to meet Clara and his son David to make sure they are okay, comforting David.

I've only seen the original. It's pretty good, though there's some stuff that doesn't really work, especially at the end.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

I saw the original trilogy, not the "new" one. I only remember the first one, really, but they're cool.

Robocop apex was the blasted television series ( not the Fan-made edit of Robocop 4 : Prime Directives ). The television series that merged all three movies into a rated-PG senario where Robocop was always onestep away from causing a blood bath but always avoided it. It was cartoony like most of everything back in the 1990's. That is how nice everything was. I loved it and if we could have kept this series going it would have been smashingly perfected.

Now we have to deal with the RCop4:Prime Directives with grown up Murphy's son. OCP bankrupt and so many more mistakes that needs to be repaired. Even booting up Diana. What about the little tech girl? Isn't she younger then Murphies Son or around the same age? Make them get married. Make the badguy be the OCP witch in jail that aborted her baby, and how she is operating OCP from withinside prison
( like RollerBoys did ).

They took Diana and made up this "Siant" bs. once again ruining the show.
...........

What is sad, and stupid about Robocop it is the way it is handled......

I miss all the Hercules and Xenia spin-offs, I miss V.I.P. ( I mean show was okay but it had it's moments ). I miss that fun stuff.

................................

We will never have a great love story as this

I mean omgsh this guy did it. If he had just not get married and did everything he did he would have been married to that model on the
"Prices Right". It is just so sad...... He got on the show and even got his kiss, and all he had to do was ask her out while he was on the show.
That is it. Greatest contest ever on that entire show and span a legacy..

Until the reboot of the show and he was not invited back because he knew all the answers by heart. That is when television died.

We will not get any of that...Personally I enjoyed the scenes and outdoor stuff because that is all that we had left before COVID virus.
