I loved the show as a kid but never read the comics.

Really old Garfield comics are...really disturbing looking, in large part because of how Davis used to draw both Garfield & the frequently-recurring Lyman.
Kinda-old Garfield comics are kinda funny.
Middle-aged Garfield comics are boring.
Newer Garfield comics are kinda funny again.
The TV show & specials were great.
I never bothered with the movies.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

Only Garfield thing I have is Garfield Kart. I only played it briefly, but it's supposed to be pretty good as kart games go. I'm sure I watched the cartoon and read comics in the newspaper at some point.
