This is just another case of a company locking a beloved IP behind a paywall. AT&T did it with Sesame Street.

^Sesame Street still sends new episodes to PBS, just not until a little while after HBO. And that was done to preserve the show's production budget; the Peanuts specials don't have a production budget anymore.

Just because something you don't like is on television doesn't mean others don't like it. All you need to do is vote with your feet and tell them "no" then not watch them. Are they forcing you to?

It's just on at parties dude, in the background. It's not a big deal. I just change the channel to football usually. More party friendly. They're a sucker for those peanuts though.
