The structure and tone between those two is significantly different so not noticing makes sense. Rinne though, is like Inuyasha and Ranma were blended together and got a Bleach makeover. It'd be hard not to tell that one is from Takahashi. I like it but it's overly familiar.

Re: Weeaboos Anonymous
So my girlfriend and I decided to yolo and binge the first 4 episodes of Ranma.
I honestly didn't know what to expect because all I remembered was hot water cold water body swap anime shenanigans, but whatever I expected, what I'm getting is infinitely better. This **** ing horny kendo club kid is unbelievable. Akane and Ranma? Love them. 10/10

I've seen anime I like better, but 'Ranma 1/2' is still incredibly charming and fun. Good silly biz.
Still my favourite anime opening.

Re: Weeaboos Anonymous
I saw that news and I'm upset because I'm seeing all these people on twitter going "OMG SHAMAN KING REMAKE I LOVED THAT ANIME" and I'm like. listen y'all I did too because I was twelve and had never seen a battle shounen before. but I watched all 64 **** episodes like 2 months ago. and had to cope all on my own with the knowledge that it's straight garbage. and now y'all are here parading your blissful ignorance before me

Re: Weeaboos Anonymous
Maybe the new SK anime will be better. It seems like the new trend is to bring back old stuff. They made a remake of Sorcerous Stabber Orphen like two seasons ago. Inuyasha is getting a new anime. I think there are supposed to be like two Tokyo Mew Mew anime coming out in the future.

Re: Weeaboos Anonymous
like a sequel? i wouldn't mind it. I think the first one's story went to long though.

Re: Weeaboos Anonymous
Well, they can start by adapting the two one-shot sequels and see where it goes from there. I don't necessarily agree that it went on too long but I understand that perspective, it did suffer in terms of quality. Near and Mello weren't interesting enough and Light seemed to get his intellect nerfed so they could keep up. Reducing Ryuk's screentime irked me a bit as well. I still enjoyed it enough though, and it kept me fully engaged.

I forget everything that happened in Death Note once Near and Mello were introduced tbh I high key stopped caring at that point

It had a perfect ending and then it just went on for another dozen mostly bad episodes for reasons I have never understood.

Re: Weeaboos Anonymous
I think I mentioned this before but the one thing that took me out of Death Note (the original manga - idk about anything else) was that nobody used the Death Note to kill any politicians or world leaders right off the bat which was, in my opinion, the most unrealistic thing about the entire story.

Hm that caught my eye a while ago and I still see people referencing it. Now that I'm reminded of it again I'll check it out.

I watched DBS further and it really picks up from the point Black shows up. That storyline just wrapped up.

Yeah, that's where there's finally some very good moments. The Evil Containment Wave scene is probably my favorite, the actor for Zamasu really lets loose.
