The sixth commandment covers stuff other than sex before marriage guys. Lust is one, Sex with someone other than your husband/wife, having more than one life, foul language, and others. The (Lutheran) explanation states "We should fear and love God that we live a pure and decent life in words and actions and that husband and wife love and honor each other."

Can we all basically agree that using one particular religion's teachings to decry particular actions is not particularly effective, given that many people are not of that pariticular religion--and even if one is, one can (and in this case generally tends to) have a diffeent interpretation?

They melt like mist, the solid lands,
Like clouds they shape themselves and go.

And that leads to annoying topic-long arguments that go way off-subject? I can agree.Originally posted by SilverWind:

Because religion DOES justify a lot of things to the individual. It's only problematic when people try to via religion JUSTIFY those things to the world at large.Originally posted by Brandon2390 the visualiza:
why do we have freedom of religion in the united states if you're just gonna try to justify your point by throwing your religious point of view in there?

I was gonna say what Silvy said.
GET OUTTA MY HEAD GET OUTTA MY HEAD!
But anyway, yeah.
It's all on the teen shoulders, they make their decision, yeah, you can influence their decision, but you can't make it. Remember that. I said something worthwhile. But I'm about to rule it out with nothingness about why it was a good post.

I can't say I am against it, for that'd be hypocritical of me for I have had sex before the legal age. But to be honest, I have no troubles with it as long as you comprehend the consiquences and risks, and you are willing to take all responcibilty if something was to happen.
