Teen sex is wrong for a large number of reasons:
If a girl gets pregnant in her teenage life, her life is ruined. She has to change to another school with a place for the baby to stay, if it is even an option, and care for it. Her other option is abortion, which is also terribly wrong, with consequences including severe emotional problems, not to mention murdering the baby.
Then there is the problem of disease. Many diseases, like AIDS, wouldn't be much of a problem at all if people practiced abstency.
Sex is simply not meant for anybody but a husband and wife to engage in. God made it specially for that use and only that. Looking from a Christian standpoint it is obvious to me, but if you disagree, read the section in Genesis on Sodom and Gomorrah.
Teen sex is simply wrong.
That my friend is the biggest load of **** I have read in this entire topic. Your putting up that comment as if EVERY TEENAGE GIRL who gets pregnant will have only those TWO options open to her. And from reading your post, you make it seem that all teenage mothers are condemend to a life of desperation and hardship.

Well, to set matters straight, most teenage pregnancies that are aborted are due to other extenuating circumstance aside from their age. I mean my own mother had me when she was only 17, and not only finished High School with out having to transfer but conitnued her education into college. Now, I know the majority of teenage women would find it difficult to stay in school, but the decision rests soley upon the teenager. Most girls willing to keep the child are also willing to try and complete their educations.

The government itself has already provided many secondary options of teenage mothers to continue their education despite being pregnant. GDE programs, and undergradute programs are just a few examples of how un-informed you are about teenage pregnancy.

75% of teenage mothers in the USA do not even drop out of highschool as opposed to the whopping 85% of teenage mothers that did, back in the 1980's.

If anything it is far better to be a teenager who is pregnant now in the new millenium than it was to be a teenager pregnant in the 80's or even early 90's. Much of society has changed to accomidate the expanding population of teenage pregnancy. Not that I am advocating for teenagers to go out and get pregnant, I am simply trying to destroy the false ideals that the our Teenagers today only have two options open to them if they get pregnant ie. Drop out of school, or get an abortion.

Many of today's pregnant teenagers can have a rewarding life and future, despite their situation. So please don't try to use a sorry excuse like....

" OH NOES YOU HAVE DA BABY AND YOU WILL NO HAVE SCHOOL OR LIFE POOR YOU....YOU MUST KILL IT ....KILL IT NOW !!!"

And as far as your christian stand point.....You do realize that when you qoute portions of the bible from the OLD TESTAMENT that people were also getting pregnant in their teen years and well before marriage as well. LOL Mary the mother of god was only 17 by ecumenical accounts.

As well since many did not live that long into adulthood many had children before the age of 20 and even more would begin a family before being married through either religious avenues. The act of marriage as a binding commitment and acceptance of consensual sex did not become established untill the unionization of the catholic church. At which time specific doctrine from the bible was translated and determined to verify the law of the modern day christian cannon.

What all that means basically is that, the early christians themselves did not view sex before marriage as a sin until a few years after the first Christian/Catholic Church was established.

As a matter of fact a letter of Paul (apostle) written to the Corinthians, spoke of such an idea s being merely an act of devotion to the lord and his gifts to man. What he wrote to them was that, although it was not a sin to have sex before marriage, it was advised to wait untill marriage before having sex, as to honor the gift of the covenant from the lord.

^Ahahahaha, so true. XD

I also remember hearing something interesting on the Discovery network(or some such thing), where scientists where theorising whether or not humans and lifelong marriage was a natural thing -- I remember they deciding against it, because back in the old days marriage didn't last long at all even if it was a lifelong commitment, because... well... people didn't live that long.

Interesting things.

Genesis on Sodom and Gomorrah.
Sodom and Gomorrah was destroyed because of gay sex I believe, not just sex.

Genesis 19:4-9

4 Before they had gone to bed, all the men from every part of the city of Sodom-both young and old-surrounded the house.
5 They called to Lot, "Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us so we can have sex with them."
6 Lot went outside to meet them and shut the door behind
7 and said, "No my friends, don't do this wicked thing.
8 Look I have two daughters who have never slept with a man. Let me bring them out to you and do what you like with them.

Read your Bible before you point our a scripture

Yeah, Soddom and Gomorrah were destroyed because they had a tendency to rape the visitors.

Off Topic: butsex!
On Topic: it's neither right nor wrong. It's up to the teens to decide whether to do it or not.

Learn to read. It basically went from 85% to 25%. The stat changed.
blah blah blah sexual immorality, which would of course include sex before marrage.
You just made that up. If it doesn't say anywhere else to abstain from sex before marriage, you can't assume that a vague phrase must be interpreted to mean that. It probably meant no incest, no adultery, (arguably) no homosexuality (I don't know or care if it actually says that, it doesn't affect me since I'm not Christian or religious... or gay for that matter, but I do know some people like to think that it means that), and no bestiality. Maybe rape too. It just sums up the other things that were previously said to abstain from, and tells you not to do them. It doesn't randomly pull up sex before marriage out of nowhere.

The Bible even says later that even looking lustfully on a women is adultory. I have no idea where you get paul saying something liek that, but I certainly doubt he would say anything like that, because on the list of things he gave to people asking how to follow Jesus was to abstain from sexual immorality, which would of course include sex before marrage.
I've read the Old Testament, don't remember it blatently stating that, though it DOES say that in the ten commandents: "Though Shall Not Commit Adultery"

There's variations in Christianity, I am Methodist, so a lot of the Catholic views are just plain zany to me.

Adultry = Having sex with some else OTHER then your wife/husband (Might also apply to girlfriend/boyfriends.)

And how does one look lustfully at women?
