No spoilerino but I think this movie did a really excellent job of wrapping up the films' conflicts and calling back to the previous movies and just being an excellent, gorgeous, satisfying conclusion, while ALSO preserving essential elements of the books' ending despite the plots being completely **** different in the end.

I'd still absolutely love to see an adaptation of the book series someday, but this movie trilogy is beautiful and I couldn't have hoped for a better or more perfect note for the movie I fell in love with in 2010 to finally end on 9 years later.

Went to watch this with the family but my daughter wasn't in the focusing mood. Had to bail after they started setting up camp.

regular reminder that you should all watch this, that the HTTYD trilogy is honestly my favorite animated trilogy I've ever seen and one of the best cinematic trilogies I've had the privilege to watch, and that even if it's nothing like the books at this point it's still gorgeous, heartwarming, and has so much soul

also that once you have watched and enjoyed it you should read the book series
