I have to be in the mood for it, but if I am, oh my god. So good.
Gohan basically turned into Goku, for better or worse. That was certainly badass as **** though. I thought it was interesting development for him but I also read it as more a result of trauma than "ideal Gohan."

been watching more of the cell arc, RIP android 18, except i know you come back bc how else u gon marry krillen
Yeah, that's definitely not the person he would be under normal circumstances (which would be Dragon Ball Super's Gohan); complete opposites.

Just started watching Flaked today with Will Arnett.

No, he's not with me; I meant that Will Arnett stars in Flaked.

It would be awesome though watching Flaked with Will Arnett.

Been on a big 'Married With Children' kick lately. You know, MWC is really, really funny. It's kind of magnificent. They really hit pay-dirt with the Al Bundy character----------like, he's not a likeable character, but they made him real. Kind of TV's great working-class hero, in a way that not even Archie or Ralphie-Boy or Homer ever managed. Makes sense TV Guide named him in their top TV characters of all time, you know? Writers hit the golden ratio between 'horrible misanthrope' and 'nothing works out right for him'. Al Bundy the champ.

I watched the Married with Children series a couple years ago. Al Bundy is potentially offensive to basically everybody, but he's funny to someone who doesn't take everything too seriously, which nowadays seems like too much to ask because everybody has some cause they want to get all up in arms about. He was the ultimate underdog, much of that self inflicted, but it made him the kind of character you want to root for.

I finally found a version of the History of Trunks special that was subbed (had to settle for dubbed before) and watched it because I hate myself, and because I'm almost done with DBZ and want to prolong the rest of it as long as possible.

I think it's entirely possible that this special ruins my life more and gets more upsetting each time I watch it, rather than the expected "knowing what happens dulls the pain somewhat." No. It isn't dull. There is only pain

Revisited 'Harvey Birdman-----Attorney-at-Law'.

That is one whip-smart, lightning-fast show. Top-notch writing and editing, great voice-work. Really funny. Pre-'Rick and Morty', easily my favourite AS cartoon, and still a strong contender even now.

[e: whoops i thought this was the other thread]

I've been watching DB Super still, now that I caught up on my SU. But I'm still on Goku v. Frieza. ((I know. Unacceptable really.))

I keep seeing these posts of people taking DBS screencaps and editing them to be more reminiscent of the style of DBZ (fixing lines, removing the highlights, altering palettes, etc) and I gotta say 99 times out of 100 those fan panel re-draws look so much better than the series. Like obviously a re-draw of a single panel is going to look better than a single panel drawn in an entire animated episode, but I am really starting to not-be a fan of the new art style in general. Mostly the highlights.

I watched Death Note for the first time this past year. I have no idea how a weeb like me got this far in life without ever seeing it.

L's theme is so good

Death Note is pretty much a masterpiece as far as and goes. Speaking if it, Platinum End is getting better and I feel like it may crossover with Death Note (just kinda be revealed it is in the same universe).
Typically the primary antagonist makes it MUCH closer to the end of the story than L did.
omg liek bump

So there's this new show on Hulu, 'The Great North'. It's really funny----------puts me in the mind of 'Bob's Burgers', because, well, its art-style is identical, and the humour is pretty much the same, and I wouldn't be overly surprised if it's by the same people. It's about an offbeat family living in rural Alaska. Only the first episode is up (the official premiere is on February 14th), but there's a lot of potential there. I recommend.
