The other day my dad got diagnosed with stage four cancer in his lungs, breasts, arms, legs, pelvis, spine and stomach.

I really know hes not given up and as much as i dont want to give up on him, every time i think about it i cant help but imagine him in a casket and then i start crying.

I dont want pity, i just want you guys to know that ill probably be dropping off the internet over the next couple months

Take your time to mourn, monstrman, and let your family know that Colonel KR has sent his chivalric condolences in advance.

From someone who has been down this path before, the best thing you can do right now is be there to support your family, and let them support you. Especially your father. If you can be there and let your love and hope be felt, it will help the both of you through this difficult time.

That's awful to hear, and I'm not sure what to say. Hang in there and be there for him.

The worst kind of cancer someone could get and he hasn't given up?

Your dad is awesome.

I probably don't need to tell you this but spend a lot of time with him. I still miss my dad, and it's been nearly 14 years.

Agh, I hate hearing about people getting cancer. My mom's had cancer twice, although not as severe as your father's, and she managed to pull through each time.

Hope your dad pulls through. Praying for you, Monstr.

Yeah he's pretty great... he's basically the nicest guy ever too and it just sucks because I know he's taking it really hard even though he'll never admit it. He told me no matter what he's not going down without a fight so it helps to know he's not gonna just throw in the towel. Thanks for the support guys, I appreciate it.

Sometimes a positive attitude is weirdly enough to get though diseases. But plus or minus, that your dad isn't giving up and going whole hog at it is a testament to his character. Godspeed.

As for you, my prayers are with you. Definitely take time to process it. And if there's anything I can do for you in the meanwhile, let me know.

If you don't mind me saying, you might want to go see a doctor to get yourself checked out from time to time.

That's a wise decision. In the future, I'm planning on getting myself checked, due to my mom's problems with cancer. Better that they catch it earlier rather than later.

He got diagnosed officially with Lymphoma. Starting chemo next week. It's better than some of the other cancers so there's that.
