Why not just find a nice dwarf girl? Little people need love, too. Heck, it'd be a perfect fit---her small stature would make you feel like a giant by comparison, and you'd be able to, you know, get items off high shelves for her.

Plus, dwarves have infravision to 60', and they can use a sort of 'stone sense' to find veins of mithril and other precious metals in the rock. They also have improved saving throws against magic. I read all about it in a book this one time. So, like, hey----added incentive, innit.
