This is for the women on VGF: How important is it that a guy be tall, so that a woman is attracted to him?

VGA, I really don't think you should obsess over this height stuff. As long as you're confident in yourself, no woman is even going to care how tall you are. If they do, then that's not someone you should be getting involved with.

No offense, dude, but that kind of machismo bull**** is the turn-off. Oh ho, you "can't protect" someone because you're not tall enough? Pffffftttttt. In case you missed it the first time, ppppfffffftttttttttt. Not only is it totally, completely untrue, but what are you going to protect someone (read: "the weak female") from? Bears? Wrestle some alligators? Or do you mean some man-to-man fighting, some kind of all-out brawl over the damsel? Ever heard "the bigger they are, the harder they fall"? That's because a little dude with equal training can get in and throw the balance of the bigger dude. Really, if you think you're going to be driven to blows with another person (note: don't, that's stupid), in the very least take up a martial art and learn this **** for real, not just imaginary fights where your entire criteria is measured in height. Hell, I recommend taking up a martial art anyway, because you need a firmer sense of self, and the discipline in applying yourself will do you good.

Now climb down off the macho cart. Confidence and charisma are not expressed through "I WILL PROTECT WOMAN".

As to your question, height means nothing to me. I'm not so petty and vain as to judge a man on his height.

Only a tall man can protect a woman from the horrors of the world. If you're too short they'll be able to go right over you, at which point she'll faint. And it'll be a really quick faint, meaning you won't be able to catch her and strike a macho expression.

That kind of thinking has no basis in reality since short people protect others all the time. The idea that women wouldn't want a relationship because "you can't protect her" is certainly chauvinistic.

Nick Vujicic is married, and just welcomed his first child into the world. The things that make him a great man are his inspirational personality and positive attitude. He took the card he was dealt from birth and made himself stronger because of it, not letting the challenges of his life keep him back. Your life, and especially your relationships with other people are exactly what you build of them.

Also, go back and see reference to Nick Vujicic. He was born without limbs, yet he's married, and has a job, and has a son.

Daniel Radcliff and Spike Lee are 5'5". So was JRR Tolkien. Prince (or The Artist Formerly Known As Prince) is 5'2". Danny Devito is an even five foot tall. Martin Scorsese, Truman Capote, Michael J Fox, and Elton John are all 5'4", so was Ronnie James Dio. Angus and Malcolm Young are 5'2" and 5'3". Hell, even Robert Downey Jr. is 5'7", notably less than six foot and considered one of the hottest men alive.

I would never actually go through with killing myself. I could never do something so selfish to the people who care about me.

I don't exactly have a lot to be confident about. I have a brain injury, I'm no good at math (struggle with algebra), and I'm short.
