I have no nice memories of school beyond elementary. Anything pleasant I actually experienced was pretty much totally coincidental. Like meeting a sympathetic friend who is also in prison.
I muttered 'light as a board, stiff as a feather' for 2 days straight and now I've ascended, ;aughing at olympus and zeus is crying

Meh. There are plenty of jobs that don't require math, and many that don't require more than basic math. They're all good jobs too.

If you can add, subtract, divide, and multiply, you're fairly set for life in a lot of different areas. Algebra can speed up the processes and apply to more situations, but basic math at its most fundamental is what you use the most.

What are you interested in, then? If you're driven to a specific job, and if your profession requires a higher level of maths, then you will just work on it until you're good enough. That's how this rolls. We don't just fall into the skills necessary to perform our ideal duties.
Nonsense, I have not yet begun to defile myself.

I'm interested in writing, but I'm not sure I want to do it for a career.

I like school enough but the work sometimes gets tedious. Meeting friends is awesome though.

Yeah don't goof off in high school or it could come to bite you in the ass after graduation. No matter how tough it is you have to stick it out. I look back out of curiosity at the burnouts and asshats from my high school years and they are virtually all college dropouts, stoners, and look like they live miserable lives in general. School may be boring or tough, but you have to stick it out because you'll be that much more rewarded after you graduate (college gets a lot easier and enjoyable too).
