****. Spellican.
Kingdom Hearts 3DS is a pile of sh*t, and this gaudy boss is the partially-digested cherry on top of the diarrhea sundae. First off, what makes the fight unfairly hard starts with the core of this messy game.
The controls are a disaster so everything is instantly a chore, including the camera. The level design is so poor and uninspired that it actually causes you to lose; you better land right or you're slipping off the floating meteors, possibly losing half your health, your opportunity to strike, and definitely losing precious time. The time limit has NEVER been more in-your-face than this time, and Spellican recovers health every time it depletes.
Add this all up, throw in a terrible multi-part chase scene, and you have a recipe for sheer madness.
Oh, and I have difficulty on Standard. I don't even want to think about this fight on Critical.
So **** Spellican, but really, **** Square. This accidentally ended up as a mini rage-review, but let me make myself clear, **** SPELLICAN.
**** HIM. I HOPE THERE'S A HELL FOR FICTIONAL CHARACTERS, I PRAY THERE IS. OR AT LEAST A SPECIAL HELL FOR HIM.

^ That's true but I've stuck with the series so far, played all but Re:Coded I think. KH1 was acceptable...but I feel no joy, honestly, from these games. Not anymore. But I know I'll stick around till the end. Kinda like when you're on a losing streak at a casino and you just can't stop. But with time and sanity for currency.

Maybe particular aspects are boring and ****ty, but not the gameplay, specifically. It's your opinion, but I don't see it in the original, at least.Booyakasha wrote:MGS is boring, sh*tty and pretentious. I've come to terms with wrong people thinking it's great, but that doesn't mean I'll ever agree.
FTR, KH 3DS is not KH3.

The story is enjoyable in my opinion, the gameplay is fun enough, the characters are fleshed out, and their deaths mean something. It also has lultastic moments during the game as well. "Fission Mailed"
This is coming from the experience of only playing MGS2 Sons of Liberty and the beginning of MGS3 Snake Eater(lol) though. I don't find it pretentious myself, though I've heard people (meaning you and one other person) say that before.
2 Also had enjoyable extras and collectibles after the main game.
What do you mean is boring about it? The slowness? The fact that it goes slow is fine with me, I don't find it boring, BUT, I've seen people play it like an fast-paced action game and win (don't remember their difficulty) sooo, it's probably your fault it goes so slow. You may just suck at it. :p
From what I know MGS4 has way too many cutscenes in it, but otherwise it's an okay experience ( I've heard that claim from alot more than two people :p )
I personally consider MGS2 to be a materpiece and one of the better stealth games on the ps2 or ever. If you don't agree then fine.
*shrug*
