It's called...... life. Liiiiiiiife.

You two assume faaaar too much.
Panfan: Yeah. Who said after I get angry, I automatically quit forever? :|

Booboo: Short-sighted imbecile. That's why I vent in the privacy of my own home instead of becoming a spectacle in front of a lot of people, and if it's an online game, even better; no one can see or hear me. So, who's going to know? :D

The fact that you're bragging about it on forums makes me lose what miniscule respect I would ever had for you.

On the plus side, getting past a frustrating point in a game is intensely satisfying.

IRHP and MK, haven't you guys ever had a fantastic game, where everything was evenly matched and the competition was fantastic, but you ultimately end up losing? Doesn't it still feel good to have played such a good game with such good competition?

Also, MK, you never answered my question. What sports have you played?

Yeaaaaaah, that doesn't answer my question. Unless you meant to brush it off by being bitter. Which I suppose was your point.

He played the sport of liiiiiiiiiiife. He almost got drafted, until he was falsely convicted of killing someone in a fit of rage after a few heated games of MvC2. Years later, fresh out of prison, he hatched a plan: get into the Really Angry Cult, find the true killer and clear his name. Will he find the truth or will he succumb to fury? He is...Microphone_Kirby.

Yes, then no simply because I LOST.

And I don't intend to. It's in the past, and I intend to keep it that way.

But that's my answer. I see it all the time: cheer, exalt, and praise the winners; ignore, pity, criticize, and insult the losers, doubly so for second place, the most notable losers. Hence: life.

Plus, I wasn't being bitter. I was being condescending.

Maybe your life, but really in the grand scheme of things, it doesn't matter if you win or lose any game. It's just a game, and maybe there'll be some immediate moments of praise or criticism, but then it's back to normal. It's what happens during the game and not its outcome that fuels people's opinions. By letting defeat or victory get to you, you define your life around winning and losing, and not the fun of the game.

That is only how life works if you decide that's how life should be.

So we went from talking about breaking "a controller, handheld, or something else in video game related anger?"

to

"**** you."
"No, **** you."

I see...

ANYWAY:
Yeah, it's just a game, but you can't honestly tell me you've never gotten mad and/or frustrated at a video game at SOME point in your life. Some just express their anger in a more extreme way. That doesn't mean "controllers get thrown" EVERY time.
I'm sure for some people the frustration and anger is a main motivator to keep playing, and to beat the game.
I get mad at games all the time, and yeah I swear at them, that doesn't mean the fun isn't there.
In fact, I'm 100% sure the only reason for your Rival in the PKMN series is just to PISS YOU THE HELL OFF. :p

Absolutely. I just would have had far more fun winning.

Thing about losing is that it's varied. I don't like losing when I find factors leading to my defeat to be unfair, or when it's a game I take seriously. You can whoop my ass in some broken party game all day long, and I won't like it, I'd still like to win, but it's really "whatever" to me. Don't you think these are fair views to hold?

I know you didn't ask me but since MK and I hold similar views on the matter (his being a bit more extreme), I thought this question may be posed to me later. I never seriously played sports, but tried them, because I was forced to, and disliked them. Most sports suck.
