So today I'm at Markley getting my car serviced, and the TVs are playing this talk show or whatever about Tom Cruise's divorce.

Some guy is there with his kids, and one of them goes up to the TV and watches it for a few minutes. What he said next nearly made me roll on the floor laughing.

"Ugh, who cares?"

This kid was like, younger than ten.

I don't think boredom is an indication of intellect, although I'll give you points that I also appreciate people not giving a damn about celebrities. It's as much a problem to me when people are driven to discuss how much they don't want to hear about it, though, because they then inevitably tell me about this crap I don't want to know.

I would have said the same thing, considering I'm only 13. Who gives a crap? My parents seperated, where's the paparazzi and tabloids?

Well, Tom Cruise's divorce is of interest to me, because it will be interesting to see how Scientology responds to it, with all the publicity that will be on them. Personally, I'm hoping they'll do something stupid and be exposed as the scam they are.

Other celebrity divorces though? Meh.
