Losing Your Boundless Youthful Exuberance...

...And subsequently becoming addicted to caffeine. Mornings feel like such an ordeal, not only because I can't get started without a hot cuppa joe, but because of the constant temptation to just lie back down in my big, soft bed with my big, warm comforter, close my eyes, and resume my conquest of Dragon Land.

I can't not caffeine. Also I hate mornings. This past semester that just finished, my classes were at 9 AM four days a week...so I had to be up at 8:00 just to get out there in time.

That other day? Class started at 10:10. SUCH A REPRIEVE

I've pretty much sworn off coffee or caffeine in the morning. I really don't want to become dependent on something like that.

Why'd you have to keep it a secret? Do you keep it in the eastern-most peninsula?

Get up, eat an apple, and let some sun shine onto bare skin for ten minutes. It wakes you up way better than coffee.

And I've been a caffeine addict for the better part of eight years. So, you know. XD
Nonsense, I have not yet begun to defile myself.

It used to be I could drink a ton of caffeinated drinks and not get jittery. Now if I have more than one cup, I get the shakes. :(

Inversely, I have broken my caffeine addiction (And soda addiction), only drinking when I have alcohol. At first I still needed a cup if I was opening at Little Caesars but lately I have plenty of energy upon waking up.

Not bad for a 22 year old loser. :D

I'm not supposed to caffeine during football season. I hate it, because I really can't function at 7:00 in the morning without coffee.
and that's the waaaaaaaaaay the news goes

Since this thread's been bumped back up to the top, I'm going to post a fun, possibly true fact: post-surgery, when you're knocked you out, people commonly feel crappy. It used to be attributed to after-effects of general anaesthetic used to knock you out. However what's going on is that since it's major surgery, you're not allowed to eat or drink or smoke for at least a day. The crappy feeling is caffeine or nicotine withdrawal.

I've gone back to tea from coffee. Over the summer, I didn't work every day, but I still have a cup of coffee before I clock in. However, by the end of the summer, I was working Sunday evening, then Monday morning, and I found that I wasn't able to sleep very well. So, I switched to tea on Sundays and that helps.
