I've managed to use up 16 batteries in 2 weeks. And these were good batteries, too.

Don't think I've ever had to replace that many batteries over two weeks. How much are you playing?

Back when my Wii got a lot of action I maybe went through 2 a week, maybe 4 if I played a lot.

But 16 in two weeks? You must be Wii-ing a LOT.
and that's the waaaaaaaaaay the news goes

We bought rechargeables with a charging dock the same day we bought the Wii.
Nonsense, I have not yet begun to defile myself.

I bought a recharging dock: crisis averted.

The reason I use so many batteries is because almost all my interneting is done from the Wii, since I can only use the computer when no one else is on it, which is rare. And I'm known for spending hours-long periods on the internet.
