Getting sick at the worst time possible.

Getting strep throat impaired my enjoyment of live in several more ways than it usually would this weekend. For one thing, my Thanksgiving dinner was difficult to enjoy thanks to the vast pain swallowing even liquid has been. Then, my 10 hr 45 min Black Friday shift was a bit of a drag, which I was actually looking forward to working since Black Friday shifts are actually quite fun and a ridiculously hot girl I've affectionately nicknamed Miss Nevertalks had to come back from here leave of absence for one day, giving me another chance to finally get her to talk. Worst of all, however, I had to miss my former roommate from my sophomore year in college's wedding, which I was really looking forward to. Plus, my closest friend from high school was back in town for the weekend and I didn't get to see him.

On the bright side, I am on Vicodin right now, which feels good and all, but is hardly anything close to a proper substitute for what I've been missing. Especially the wedding.

I feel your pain, man. I couldn't taste my food at all while eating due to this cold I've had for the past week. ;_;

Aw geez, I'm sorry to hear that man. :<

I recall getting sick right before this field trip to the Holocaust Museum, literally puked right before the buses arrived. Sixty dollars down the drain at the last second.

It's a good thing Vicodin is prescription-only. Makes my body feel really nice. If it were OTC, I'd probably be abusing it. It would be even worse if Percocet were OTC. That stuff is like Vicodin x5.

I got sick on my vacation in Chicago. It was a stomach thing, and I ended up spending a whole day either in bed or in the bathroom, and was pretty uncomfortable for the days that book-ended that day.

Yeah. Some folks might also remember that my college graduation was delayed by a semester thanks to a month-long hospitalization last year.

I was sick in bed through Thanksgiving. It sucks to have all those people making noise when you are miserable and have no door. They were all 10 to 20 feet away since the house is small.

This morning, I woke up and I felt unusually cold, as if I had just stepped in from outside. But I had just gotten out of bed.

Huh, weird. My cold is pretty much gone, but maybe that was a little leftover taste or something.

I was fortunate enough to enjoy the Thanksgiving food, but I fell sick on Friday and Saturday and began to recover quite well on Sunday. I still feel a little congested though. I'm just glad it didn't happen this week cause I got a PT test this coming Thursday. >.<
