I invested my high school and college careers preparing to work in this profession. Only actors, singers, and athletes do this and I am none of those. I now know nothing else that I can do because I invested so heavily. The only other thing I was remotely good at was music and I don't know if I can do that anymore (because I want to play with someone). :(
And I went on two dates on Saturday, both of which were somewhat successful. I have a third on Wednesday and hopefully a second date with one of the Saturday girls later this week. How am I supposed to tell them this? And what self-respecting girl would want to date a guy who got laid off and has no income stream?
The fact that I'm starting grad school this fall is the only thing keeping me from holing myself up. I had faith because I had a job and thought I was living a successful life with this career. And to see it all taken away from me is really unfair. -CSM

Sorry to hear it, man. It's rough these days. Have you started looking for another position yet? I did some contract work for a while out of school before i landed a full time position. That sort of thing might be easier to find in the interim.

^I just found out today. I'm going to start contacting my former bosses tomorrow who said they will point me in the right direction.

Not all girls worry about you not being in a job, as long as they know you're actively looking for one.

Yeah, CSM, any girl with half a brain will understand if you just got dropped & have already started looking for a new job. And any girl without half a brain...you probably don't wanna date in the first place, right?
And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

Why don't you ask them about their income streams?
