Today in my Geography class we were discussing language and ethnicity, and it got me thinking. What parts of the world do your ancestors come from? Where do the branches of your family tree reach?
As far as I'm aware, I'm a quarter Irish and a quarter German, with some Welsh, English, Polish, Italian, Swedish, and maybe some other stuff filling in the remaining 50%. Part of my family's been in the (future) United States since the 1600's. How about you guys?

As stated earlier, I am 1/4th French Canadian, as well as 1/4 Czech. The rest is composed of Native American, Irish, and I think German. Probably something else in there, dunno.

My mom's side is all German, and my dad's side, if he's to be trusted, leaves me 5/8 German, 1/4 Irish, 1/8 Native American.

On my mom's side I'm Italian and Irish, although Sicilian history being what it is I could pretty much be any ethnicity and not be surprised.
On my dad's side, Mexican, Cuban and small bits of American Indian and Chinese.

I'm somewhere between 5/16 and 11/16 Irish, with some other Western European countries mixed in.

How far back in history do you want us to go? Is it enough to say I'm Anglo-Saxon?

My father is half-Lombard & half-Sicilian, and my mother is half-Sicilian & half-also-Sicilian. Viva Italia, baby.
And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

One of our ancestors was a Doctor in the American Revolutionary War... and his grandson walked the Oregon Trail with his family <_>
