What's your favourite breed of dog?
What makes you like it so much?
What type of personality does that breed have?
How does this fit in with what you would do?

A summary from Dogology: What Your Relationship with Your Dog Reveals about You:

If your favorite dog breed is a Retriever or Spaniel (Labradors, Goldens, Labradoodles, American Cocker Spaniels, English Springer Spaniels, etc) then your personality traits are:

Family-focused
Fun-loving and social
Easygoing
Active lifestyle
Positive perspective, with an “open door” policy at home

If your favorite dog breed is a Pointer or Setter (English Pointers, Weimaraners, Wirehaired Pointing Griffons, Irish Setters, English Setters, etc), then your personality traits are:

Passionate and determined
Energetic and motivated
Lover of luxuries
Rugged (you’ll hike all day!)

If your favorite dog breed is a Scent Hound (Beagle, Basset, Bloodhound, Foxhound, etc), then your personality traits are:

Determined and focused
Intense, even relentless
Funny
Lover of food

If your favorite dog breed is a Sight Hound (Greyhound, Whippet, Borzoi, Irish Wolfhound, etc), then your personality traits are:

Relaxed and introverted
Quiet
Lover of small groups and close friends
Organized

If your favorite dog breed is a Terrier, then your personality traits are:

Fun-loving and funny
Determined and focused
Energetic
Talkative and versatile
Rough- and-tumble

:D
She lives in the clouds and talks to the birds...

Happiest faerie of VGF.

These things crack me up. They make everything sound positive with vagueries. Everybody is most of those things some of the time.

My ideal dog!

I love Terriers. SO CUTE! :D

Bawwwww! I really would love to own one someday, but they are so expensive!!

As far as personality goes, I love terriers, but my family owns Labs, and my bf, a Golden Retriever. How does that skew my results? ;)

(Honestly, I think at times, I'm a bit of everything, like AI said. Depends on my mood! :) )

I love Australian Shepherds. Best dogs ever.

They're very hyper and super playful but not mean. They are, unfortunately, barkers, but they're so perky and energetic that you can't help but love them. It's also kind of cute when they try to herd you x{D

I tend to like big dogs as a general rule.

And I like dogs as companions rather than accessories, which is kind of what I think of the tiny little yappers.

I love all dogs. I don't think I could possibly pick a breed I love more than all the others. I ended up spending 20 minutes on the dog breeds page on Wikipedia trying to decide.

If a dog is small enough to be mistaken for a football in the dark, then it isn't a dog.

:) I have a Brussels Griffon
its a fairly uncommon breed so you should look it up on wikipedia.
they look so much like Ewoks , that i think george Lucas must have based them on brussels griffons.

Jonathon and Micheal were eating lunch together when a rather obese lady walked into the restaraunt, a chihuaha in her purse, its head sticking out and it's voice loud, high-pitched, and constant.

And so, this brought up the conversation of dogs. Both men seemed to prefer the breed of the dog that they themselves personally owned.

This resulted in a rather unnecessary argument.

"Come ON..." said Jonathon, shaking his head.

"Nah, man...you're choice of dog breed is totally gay..." said Micheal.

And then it hit him. The conversations from before. His last trip to VGF. They had discussed...what the choice of dog breed said about the owner.

And then, it hit him again. Micheal had never been wrong before. In fact, his conclusions had always been perfectly right.

"Gay. Gay."

The words echoed in his head. He would never be the same.

I love German shepherd and Labradors. Both are very sweet dogs and the Labrador is a dog that is willing to work for its master where a German shepherd is really focused on its owner. Those are two things I really want in a dog. I also feel a German shepherd looks real beautiful.
