I HATE IT. I HATE IT. I HATE IT. I HATE IT.

Out of the whole game I have used 3 continues. ALL 3 ARE IN WORLD 3. I HATE the ice!! I hate slipping and sliding into enemies, or dieing because I slipped off the edge and have nothing to wall jump off of, I hate sliding off the edge of a moving block just to fall between it and a wall and die.

"Why don't you just get the Penguin suit so you don't slip and slide?"
BECAUSE EVERY TIME I GET A GODDAMN MUSHROOM I SLIDE INTO AN ENEMY BEFORE I CAN JUMP OVER IT.

Yeah, even with Jen I barely had any problems.

I typically loathe ice stages, but I didn't think World 3 was that bad.

World 4 though... >.>

I can get over anything but the ice.
The lack of traction (literally and figuratively) kills me.

I personally thought 3 was of slightly-higher-than-average difficulty.

But World 7...

So I finally beat it... Took me FOREVER.

World 4 is meh. World 5 is where it's at. My anger that is. Of course I was playing for like 2 1/2 hours. So maybe I just need a break. :P

NSMBWii is easy all 'round. We have NEVER run out of lives. If you're bad at a level, you just keep playing it, but there's unending possibilities to collect more lives.
Nonsense, I have not yet begun to defile myself.

If by "We" you mean "in multiplayer", of course you wouldn't run out of lives. You get twice the amount you would in 1 player mode, and you don't have to restart a level when 1 person dies.

I just really ****ing hate the ice. I went into World 3 with 14 lives. 14. I lost all but 2 in the second stage, because those stupid penguins would always get me when I had no room to jump, and then lost the last two trying to save Toad by beat those stupid Ice Hammer Bros.

The ice in general just SUCKS. At one point I jumped onto a moving ice block. I thought I was standing still, but apparently I was slipping very slowly and I fell off the edge and got smooshed between it and the wall.

It also didn't help that because of the lack of traction I would jump onto a platform and slide right into a Koopa.

Also what got me a few times is when I'd be waiting to jump on a Koopa, then right as I jump for him to walk under me, he'd stop and "dance" to the music, causing me to not have enough time to jump again before he started moving. -_- Although that's entire game, not just World 3.

Are you one of those people who mutes the game & puts on other music? 'Cause otherwise, you should be able to predict when the dance cues are coming.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

All I know is I accidentally beat the game while playing 2-player. It isn't that hard, just have a second player if you can't hack it.

I never had a game over in single player. The first time I did was in multiplayer, mostly due to my friends screwing me over.

By "we", I mean my husband and I, but not necessarily playing together. Single player is just as easy. Adapting to the ice only takes one level, if you need to at all. Sorry if you're just not that great at it, dood.

I have the game's music on, but I don't always pay attention to it and it catches me off-guard.

Ah. Ok.

You can't really adapt to sliding when you're on a moving block 2 steps wide.
