I am seething with maddening rage, and it's transforming into a desire for violence. Jealousy is consuming me, and due to circumstances beyond my control, I am unable to resolve these current issues, nor the underlying problems which happen to be the root. The best part is that there is no solution short of a miracle, due to the nature of the problems. They're set-up in a vicious cycle.

Not trying to be dramatic, but it just comes out that way. I'm not going to be specific, I just want to vent and see some random posts or a meaningless" Hang in thar," or two.

Do something non-dangerous with violent feelings: beat the ever living **** out of your pillow. Go outside and break a bunch of sticks. Play a match of Smash Bros against some easy computers and kill them all dead. I'm serious, man, just get the need out of your system, then you can approach your situation calmer.

As for your problems, though I can't give any specific advice, just try and remember that nothing stays terrible forever. Things will improve, and until then, just be constructive and try to distract yourself by doing something fun or new. You'll be okay, dude. And my PM box is always open if you need to talk, alright?

Odd as it seems, I too have been feeling the same way off and on today/last night. I just cleaned up the kitchen, which actually helped alot.

Yeah, cleaning up around the house is pretty therapeutic to tonnes of people. Rage-cleaning means you get a LOT done all at once, too. XD

JK just beat her within an inch of her life.

Kill the bitch. Then she'll really regret it.

Forgive the bump, and bare with my related venting..

...I have failed as a man.

Without delving into the fine details, there is a very nice girl I like and who I am around significantly. However, she has a boyfriend, a real classic piece of sh*t *******. He treats her like garbage often enough, but not all the time and she gets right over it. Women don't make much sense.

Well anyway, recently he beat her and she was crying hysterically. I took her for a walk to calm her down and then came back with her. We talked a little bit and it seemed like she was afraid of him, didn't want to be around him anymore and she seemed to appreciate my concern and consolation.

Now, circumstances are complicated but I still should have curb stomped him the minute I got back, but I didn't. First failure, likely leading to the second. I over thought the matter, stupidly. She didn't go back to her room with him, and instead laid with me and told me that she felt safe, and we cuddled and uh, fondled, but I think she may have expected more and I didn't deliver.

Epic fail.

Early in the morning she decided to get up and go back to her room and had somewhat audible make-up sex.

I asked her the next day if she was gonna stay with him and she said no, that she was afraid of him but she's basically back to normal with him now...

I pride myself on my logical, quiet and stoic disposition, and I'm doing a good job of upholding the charade, but my retarded emotions seem to be getting the best of me. I don't know what to think. Things are basically back to normal, aside from her visible facial bruises, and welts.

Now I didn't expect to whisk her away and be mine, that's retarded, but what she's doing is ridiculous and sort of inconsiderate.

Well anyway, I don't know what I expect the responses to this to be like but it was killing me so I had to get it off my mind somewhere.

Pay part of my fare and I'll beat him for/with you.

Seriously though, it's probably better that you didn't get violent with him.

By your description though I want to kick his ****n a** though.

I'm sorry I can't offer any other real advice for you on this though. :(

She needs to get the f*** away from him though. WaD. I don't get why women stay with guys like that. My crazy uncle I vented about before actually tried to kill his ex-wife (after years of anger ridden rages around the house and other stuff I could write a topic about) that she constantly complains about and yet she said she still loves him (I assume she meant romantically as that is how it seemed she said) so I'm like "WTF!?"

Well, the moment has passed I guess. I don't think that there is much I could do even if I wanted to. Guy like him will beat her down again eventually anyway, and that's when I can help him into a wheelchair.

Sorry to so swiftly discard your advice but my biggest regret is not obliterating him...well, lots of regret every way I look, really.

Sigh...

I would advise against obliterating him. Not that I feel any different; nothing tempts me more towards violence than child molesters and wife beaters. But adding more violence onto an already violent situation only solves problems in movies.

Better idea:

The National Domestic Violence Hotline
1-800-799-SAFE

There are also local agencies in addition to the national one.

She needs to do something about it, as studies show that those who beat their spouses will more than likely just continue to do so, with the beatings getting more severe as time drags on. If she does not want to, REPORT IT YOURSELF.

She may get mad at you for stepping in, but in the long run, she will thank you for it. It may take a while, but she will. Get a restraining order as soon as possible; do not wait for the next beating.

^ I really appreciate the advice, but I don't know, things are complicated...One thing for sure is that I shouldn't just wait for her to get beat again, that isn't right.

I'll give an alternate, and possibly dystopian worldview.

This is running off what I heard from my Mom, but there's a problem when a woman has an abusive boyfriend and they don't leave:

Odds are you could step in, stomp that out with police, and... you know what'll happen?

They'll get mad at you for locking up their boyfriend!

Crazy as this sounds, this has happened, when my Mom's sister went in to break up something like this.

To be honest, I'd just give her the two-way choice: Either ankle this nonsense for good, or... well, if she won't do anything about it, I'm afraid she chooses her own fate. Getting in the middle might only serve to get you in more trouble.

Even if she likes you, I dunno... I personally wouldn't touch the situation with a fifty-foot stick, even if I was built like the hulk. It just doesn't seem like it'll end well if you keep poking into it, unless she truly wants it dealt with, in which case, she needs to give a strong affirmative answer. Since otherwise you could resolve it, only for her to just want to continue it, even though it was bad.

Some people are like that, and it's unfortunate. *Shrug*

Hey, bro, I forgot to say somehow. You didn't fail as a man, don't worry about that.
Not having sex with her doesn't mean you failed. I figured someone such as yu would realize this. Of course, the fact that I didn't even think to say this at first might say something about me. :(

Don't fall to the publicly accepted idea that you can't not have sex before marriage and that if you don't have sex then you fail. That's such a screwed up view of sex. You didn't fail as a man, man.

Also, everything Trav said. Seriously, it would be better to step in and have her not be your friend then to have her be hurt by him forever, and chances are it can and probably will eventually stretch past beatings.

Anyway, I hate wife beatings.

My mom let my dad beat her to keep him away from us when he was high and/or drunk.
My aunt is beat by her jerk/drunkard husband to this day, and has either nearly killed her or made her kill herself nearly before. My grandmother was beat by my grandfather all the time. Even my father was abused horribly by both his mother and father everyday pretty much.

Pretty much any abuse angers me for one past reason or another actually.

I'm just saying this so you know that this is out of genuine concern/experience.

But if she isn't 100% on board with it being broken up, then she may just return to him.

You should be sure of what she has in mind before doing anything rash.
