Oh yay the nature thing again. People have consciousness by natural means = conscious decision is a long-armed representation of natural occurrences. Nature doesn't really factor into SD's preference on the matter, but hey.

Anyway, it's not like I fear death. I just have a lot of stuff to do. I dropped some big bucks on that ring, and god dammit, I'd better have a family before I die.
No big deal here, IMO, you're not offending someone like SD. She just throws her fists up when faced with conflict of interest with the public at large. She's actually got more of a "and why the hell do I have to care about this" standpoint than a "you people shouldn't think what you want" kind of thing. The idea that you actually have to give a **** about things that other folks suppose we all OUGHT to give a **** about is where her or I trip up on this stuff.
Frankly, people die. It sucks when it's someone you care about. Throwing pieces of someone else at them to keep them running ala Frankenstein's creature isn't necessarily something the public at large is entitled to. The least they could do IMO is not make it necessary for us who aren't interested to have to actually opt-out of becoming kidney bins.
