i couldnt, my ****ing computer told me i have to buy it for protection. and the one i had installed wouldn't ****ing open because of the previously mentioned program being a bitch, sayng that its corrupted

The virus is probably located in the system32 folder, so it might help if you delete that.

Dude, there's no reason you are getting viruses from MP3s.

Did you install a program to download MP3s for you? Are you using Internet Explorer? Are you clicking on pop-ups and agreeing to install toolbars? Don't do these things.

MP3s contain additional information beyond the soundwave, some media types could, for instance, contain url stream data, which can be used in conjunction with a known exploits to essentially call up a server with VIRUSS 4 U OMG. Good times. But technically a MP3 cannot effectively contain a virus.

Also, factoid about Ace of Base: supposedly all or most of their hit songs were written with a pop-song-generating computer-program.

Umm, so I assume you were not running any variety of firewall at this time, or were using IE. You basically can get a worm/virus just from connecting to the net if your IP is passed through the wrong server. Could've just as easily not had anything to do with the porn you were downloading.
