Permabanned on a board.

I feel really bad right now. I got upset with someone on another forum, and I said something I shouldn't have. Now I'm permabanned. What do I do?

If it were me, I might give it a little time then try to get in contact with someone in charge and see if you can't smooth things over enough for them to lift the ban. Or just give up on that forum.
If it's any consolation, you still have us.

Circumventing bans will usually do that. I don't think I've ever seen apology accounts end in anything except an IP ban.

I get banned at every forum I go to, often permanent, but plenty of temporary as well. Just contact the administration, or accept it create a new account.

Every one I've spent any significant time on, so around half a dozen or so. I was both temporary and permanent banned from VGF as well.

As an Admin, I can tell you right now, asking to be unbanned will not help.
The only thing you can do is move on. You were banned for something. Accept it.

Message boards are much like a small country in that you can be banned for something that most places will let slide.
I echo everyone else's statements when I say that you should give it more time than a few hours or give up on it entirely. Some places aren't worth it depending on whatever rule it was.

I've banned myself from several forums. If someone upsets me, I just leave and don't go back or at most lurk.

It's been ~15 years so I wouldn't expect you to recall, but yeah. I remember e-mailing you to get back on the forums.
