Seriously, what the **** is wrong with people writing fanfiction/drawing pictures of fictional female characters getting morbidly obese? I mean, I'm fine with people being into fat girls, but there is NOTHING sexy about a woman eating until she's unable to move.

There are a lot of extremely odd fetishes and fandoms that hurt to talk about. This is one of them.
Another example of odd fetishes?
Well, there's...pleasuring yourself to the...accompaniment of...multicolored...flying...horses...
Anywho, I've seen some fairly nasty examples of this particular fetish. Some involving a woman being so engulfed in her own fat, they literally wrote out what she sounded like choking on it.
Another involves...pregnant foxes. But we won't go there.

I'd also like to point out that if you don't have a fetish for a particular sort of thing, you aren't going to understand why people like it, naturally. It's a preference thing, as most things are. So while you say there is nothing sexy about that, there are people who find it pretty hot.
