I live in Western Australia, and it definitely doesn't snow around here. It kind of makes it hard to snowboard.

It actually snowed here yesterday for the first time this year (just a dusting & nothing stuck, but still), & it's finally seasonably cold for more than one day at a time! :)

To me, all it does is make it more of a pain to get anywhere, and it increases the road fatalities. Every year someone around here dies in a wreck because of ice or snow. Right now, all that is reallyon the ground is a thin coat of snow, and ice everywhere from the earlier rain. Every parking lot and sidewalk is a death trap.

Learn to shoe-skate, & those icy sidewalks become much less treacherous.
And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

Snow isn't really that fantastic. You can sled and snowboard and things look pretty for a day or two, but then you realize that it just makes everything colder and it looks pretty damn ugly after it gets slushy or muddy or anything.
I love living in a place with distinct seasons, and I still like snow, but I wouldn't be too broken up over not having it.

You're somehow implying that I get disinterested in snowboarding, cross country skiing, sledriding, and building forts.

I live in Georgia. The weather is unpredictable which often makes me sick. If it snows, it snows in March, and even if it doesn't it's ridiculously cold. I'm of the opinion that if I have to suffer through insanely cold weather, it better snow at least once, and enough for me to make a snow midget in. >:[

I'll never lose interest in those things, definitely. But as I've been growing up, the less I've had time to spend doing fun things in the snow and the more I've been forced to deal with the stupid things that come with snow.
