At the start of May I'm going to Colorado Springs to visit my friend who just moved there. We're gonna go see The Avengers together at a midnight opening. This will be several firsts for me:

--First time flying
--First time west of central Texas
--First midnight showing
--First movie I go to in costume

I got a really good ticket deal, too. I'm excited.

And remember, "I'm-a Hawkeye, number one!"

I hope you like invasions of privacy!

Have fun on your trip, dude. I'm looking forward to the Avengers.

Long as they still let me choose the scanner, I'll still have the privacy of my bowels.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

I flew for the first time last year. It was pretty cool, but I'm not a huge fan of taking off or landing.

no way man taking off is the best part

rush of SPEED

make sure you chew gum when taking off and landing though that is my pro tip so you do not get ears all funny

I'm familiar with elevation popping. Had to do it once when I took a tram up a mountain. I'd imagine on a plane it's the same, but faster?

yes which is why gum is important because your jaw movements will help out

it's not as bad on trams

like literally your ears will feel like **** for a while if you dont

Groping or irradiation. What a choice.

Hold up. Colorado Springs!? My grandma has a condo out in Steamboat Springs not far from there! <3 Awesome.

Also you live in Central Texas?

Of course for planes I've ridden on them far more than I care to count. You guys might remember I lived in Germany before I left the first time. You know back when everybody was chasing me. x__X So yeah, sooo many planes. I liked the German trains though. Except when you're crowded in seats on the U-Bahn or the S-Bahn (which I affectionately called the Slow-Bahn). RE-Bahns were faster. Unless I was riding at a time when work or school wasn't out.

Germany's actually good about crowds. Except the U-Bahn conductors though, when they grind you to bits and take 20 Euros of COINS from you just cause you didn't stamp your ticket. The train conductors are cooler.

First time I flew alone was to Washington DC though. That was fun.

^I live in Missouri, but the furthest west I've been is College Station, TX.

Aah. I see. That's kind of more East Texas though. I'm around that area myself.

I know it's East Texas, but it's farther west than my previous record: Kansas City.

The farthest west I've ever been was so far west it was tomorrow.

I'm posting from Colorado. It's warm & humid. I could've stayed in StL for that.
The good news is everything else.

Hey, you should come down to Pueblo and watch The Avengers with me instead.

>_>
<_<

Kidding aside, hope you're having a good time, Springs is a really nice city. I'm surprised you say it's humid though, I actually get nosebleeds from how dry it gets here.
