Got something that happened recently that you are SO EXCITED ABOUT, you just can't contain it?? Well, exclaim it here!!
Anyway, I have a happy 'vent' today. As in, my day was so good, I have to tell somebody about it!
Got a lot of work done - finished one of the my theses, which is a great feeling! Then, I got a newspaper to do the crossword; I normally take the page with the crossword out and fold it (
like so). Today, the crossword was on it's own page - no unnecessary taking apart the newspaper needed! That was most excellent. THEN, my new laptop charger AND a bunch of books I ordered came in the mail! I enjoyed a delicious dinner and watermelon boba tea, and have been really productive tonight!
Do you have any happy vents to share with the rest of us?

No morning math = Sleep in. I had nearly a full eight hours of sleep. Feels great to be well rested for the following classes.

want want want want. How does it compare to
Person Pitch?
Oh and happiness: Today at school we didn't do
****. In chorus we convinced our teacher to show us random videos on the textbook's DVD (instead of taking a test **** YEAH), Latin we just corrected stuff and usually if you volunteer yourself enough at the beginning of class, our teacher won't call on you as much, so I napped for a good portion of that. In German we learned the "two-way preposition macarena" and basically didn't do anything else. In history we took a super-easy test and had enough time left over to do all the rest of our homework.
Then came biology. There was a project that I had worked ahead on, so I was done while everyone else took the entire class period to do it. I napped for about 30 minutes. Then someone was like "Wow, he was sleeping for like half an hour! Shouldn't he be doing work?" Then the teacher was like "he got his work done. I wouldn't care if he started skipping around the room while singing 'Skip to My Lou'".
So I did.

You can stream the album online for free. I know NPR and Guardian have had it up.
It's very different, but at the same very similar to
Person Pitch. No really long epic songs like "Bros," no samples. Panda Bear still has the same sense of melody, though. Only time will tell which one I like better, though.
Anyway, happy vent:

On the bus ride home from class today, I had a conversation with a guy who lives on the other side of town that started with him complimenting me on my boots. I had a hard time keeping up with him, since he was a real talker and I hardly talk at all IRL, but it was still good. We talked about our degrees and about why our city never makes it in the news.
Nice guy. He kind of looked like a young Fidel Castro.

Snowmobile guiding of sorts after the snowfall had a good time and after that some small party at someone's house (i know who they are but not their names).
Then some dancing, rediscovering how fun it is!
And then we managed to get a bunch of people to my place, 15 km from the pub, that's a feat!

It's not
my happy vent, but this made me ridiculously happy to read on IMMD:
My 9 year old's teacher called me the other day, laughing. My son was talking about the Irish step dancing show we had seen and a classmate said "That's gay." Without skipping a beat my son looked at him and said, "No, gay is when two men love each other" and went back to his speech. My son handling ignorance like a BOSS made my day.
