Sequence Breaking is real nice.
A recent example for me:

(not sure if you can still get the Heart Piece)
I tried this on the GCN version and it worked. I was all, "yeah, this is totally one of those glitches they fixed, better ready for that heart pie-OH SWEET". It felt great. I still have to do the second dungeon for the Ruby, but getting Jabu-Jabu's Belly done so early feels pretty cool.

Tool-assisted sequence breaks hardly count!

It's still pretty cool regardless.
(Also I think you can backwards long jump the endless stair normally?)

Yeah, it is pretty epic.

I don't do much sequence breaking.
The one minor exception would be in Super Metroid, while visiting Norfair after defeating Kraid I use wall-jumping to get the Wave Beam early, then use that to get the Power Bombs early (rather than getting the Ice Beam, going up to Brinstar for the Power Bombs, yadda yadda). I've done it that way so many times that it's become the normal way I do the game.

You need to setup custom controls. Make the R button the run button, hold the run button. Now they're easy.

Yeah, same here. It's too easy not to.

It's also kind of interesting when the developers actually think of when you sequence break.
Like how you can fight a stronger version of some bosses if you decide to just skip a few worlds in Kingdom Hearts. Or how the scene changes if you complete Deep Jungle before Wonderland.
