Do any of your friends have mental health issues? A few of my really close friends do. Not always sure how to relate to them, but try . . . Can anyone relate? I actually work with the SAMHSA and the What A Difference A Friend Makes program. Their program is in place to actually raise awareness about mental health issues. They want to teach people to be better friends to those who suffer cause the support of good friends can really increase the chances of recovery. Thought that was pretty cool so wanted to share a link to their website - Just go to whatadifference and it's a .org and then /mental health. It shows you how to be a good friend/help those in need. Good cause and lots of helpful resources there. At least I thought so. Hope some of you will check it out.
(Well that was fantastically spam-like. I think I'll leave this up anyway, since I don't mind the cause, but in the future mind the board rules and don't advertise. If it's directly related to discussion, links are okay. If it's just on the same subject and you just looking for somewhere to link your site, you're in the red.
If you're the one who introduced the subject to talk about your organization, you're seriously not in the clear. Understood? Advertisement is paid for on this site. It's how the site keeps running. - AI, supermod)

Depends on what you mean by mental health issues. I'm not aware of any close friends of mine with serious mental disorders, so to speak, though I have friends who have dyslexia, social anxiety, depression (including myself), Asperger syndrome, Alzheimer's disease, and others. It's usually not a major issue for us, but when these things do become a problem we're there for each other, even if it's difficult to relate.
