That's just... nuts!! I can't shoot anywhere near as fast as that without splattering arrows everywhere!!

Oh, I'm awful. After I've warmed up, I can pretty consistently not miss the target...stand, but actual accuracy or precision with a bow is a pipe dream.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

...I'm okay. It's been a hot minute since I shot, but I can get a reasonable grouping.

Up at camp, I did a small amount of shooting for fun, but most of the time I was working on maintenance---------repairing arrows, replacing bowstrings, occasionally fixing the tarp structure or firing line fence.

I think if you practice, you do get better... but that kind of precision is many, many hours of practice.

I find maintenance of bows and arrows very tedious. I never said it out loud, though, so it doesn't count!! ;)

Are you left- or right-handed when doing archery?

Never shot an arrow.

^^Right-handed, aka holding the bow in the left hand, firing off the left-hand side of the bow.

Being as I taught archery at camp for ten years, I get irrationally annoyed when stuff in the media depicts archery stupidly. I mean, most movies and teevee show people firing off the right-hand side of the bow, which is dumb enough, but then you get things like 'Avatar', which shows the Na'vi pulling the bow back with their hand upside-down, so that the string would be far more likely to tumble away from the bow and throw their shots off, and also they wouldn't be able to aim down the arrow because their big dumb gorilla hands would get in the way. I suppose it's less of a deal when you have the dorkball main character shooting Colonel Racist multiple times from like two feet away (truly an expert marksman).
