WORST. DAY. EVER.

Post by monstrman » Wed Dec 16, 2015 7:42 pm

I am about to graduate from the community college I've been going to for 6 years. Long story short I screwed myself by not trying very hard when I was younger and having no idea what I wanted to do. Flash forward to seven months ago, I received a very generous offer from my uncle to work for him full time and he'd pay for my school. I chose a career in Computer Science because I'm good with math and computers.

Flash forward to today. I am guaranteed to get all As in all my classes. The three classes my counselor told me that I needed to graduate. I go in to make sure everything is all set for graduation, and what do I hear? What is the glorious news I am confronted with when I arrive?

"Oops you didn't need this American History class you're one credit short of graduating."

I AM ONE CREDIT SHORT OF GRADUATING AND THERE IS NOTHING I CAN DO ABOUT IT. MY UNCLE IS PISSED. I'M PISSED. I HAVE BEEN SCREWED OUT OF MY DEGREE BY SOMETHING THAT IS NOT EVEN CLOSE TO MY FAULT AND AFTER TWENTY MINUTES OF ARGUING WITH PEOPLE I HAVE LEARNED THAT THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NOT A GOTS DARN THING I CAN DO ABOUT IT

I am so sorry to hear that!! Is there no record of your counsellor's advice? If there is, perhaps you could ask for the appeal process and appeal? Eh... I do not know how your college system works over there.

*hugs* So sorry, monstr!!

It sucks that they misled you like that. Could you take an additional course next semester to make up the missing credit, though?

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"
