Snoring.

I have slept maybe two hours the past day because I've been forced to share a room with dad.

Extreme problem... dad snores. It is literally the worst snoring problem I have ever seen. Imagine turning an elephant into Darth Vader and make it breathe right into your ears while using a jackhammer. It is so bad that in the hotel room, people started vacating the floor at four in the morning because of the noise. (I was literally in the hallway and noticed people leaving because dad's incessant snoring was waking them up.)

Before you guys say "Use earplugs"... I AM using earplugs. Dad's snoring is just THAT BAD. The only way I can get some quiet is if I took a kitchen knife an gouged out my eardrums. At home the only way I actually get any sleep at all with this noise is because dad sleeps in a room that has essentially been soundproofed, and I have a dozen things to drown out the noise.

Dad refuses to see a doctor about this. Seriously snoring like this is NOT healthy and it makes me think he's suffocating in his sleep. Get a freaking CPAP machine.

My dad has the exact same problem, I feel for you man. The only thing I can suggest is ummmmmm, damn, try to convince your dad that's it's a problem and for him to get help.

Funny, an ad for snoring aid just popped up as I walked onto this thread. Well, if he won't take medicine, I say try those disposable breathe-right nose bandage thingies. That stopped me from snoring when I was a kid.
