My compulsive list-making strikes again.
I'm just now watching Daredevil for the first time, having gotten Netflix 2 days ago; other than that, I've seen everything else so far, & I'm interested at least until the end of the current slate.
And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

I'm into pretty much all the films plus Daredevil and Jessica Jones. I'm pretty pumped about Civil War, GotG2, and Doctor Strange. Kinda worried about the Infinity War being lame. I didn't much like the comics about it. But I'm looking forward to Adam Warlock.
The Thor movies have been a little weak, and the physics of Ant Man kinda drive me nuts. In Daredevil season 2, the whole Hand stuff is supposed to be mysterious and intriguing, but it just leaves me frustrated. Didn't see the Norton Hulk movie.

I loved the first Thor, but Dark World was kinda meh (watchable, though, which is good since I'm planning a movie marathon for my birthday). Norton's Hulk was a great suspense film, actually. I'm literally only 4 eps into Daredevil, & Kingpin just went on a date; I'm nowhere near anything called the Hand yet.
I don't know much about Adam Warlock other than he uses a cocoon to regenerate & he beats up Thanos a lot. Has he been confirmed for any of the films yet?
Gotta admit, Most Wanted is not really catching my interest, & it'll be kinda awkward to keep going at the same time as AoS. Very excited for Dr. Strange & Capt. Marvel.
And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

Loved S1 of Daredevil. The Frank Castle stuff from S2 is great too.
I don't know if Warlock is confirmed. I'm just hoping.
Are you gonna watch Jessica Jones following Daredevil S1? Ritter and Tenant are both great in it.

I haven't actually watched anything since 'Iron Man 2'. It keeps building up. Like, it's kind of getting to where, before I can go see one of the new movies, I need to watch five or six other movies first. Like why wouldn't I be more hyped for something self-contained, like 'Turbo Kid', or 'Big Hero 6'.
Capt, you know me a little---------what would be good for me to watch? Like, essentials, to get caught up? For instance, I can't stand Captain America. But I'm familiar with the source material-----------scrawny guy gets super-sauce, turns into shield guy, gets frozen and revived, no one likes him. So, like, can I not watch his movies?

Yo I have heard great things about Jessica Jones. It's really hard to convince me to watch superhero stuff but there's something I can see being right up my alley

Incidentally. Not to distract from the thread or anything. But 'Turbo Kid' is on Netflix. Like, if you haven't seen it, you probably should. It's fun.

That's pretty much the essence of it. But you'll miss Hugo Weaving as Red Skull.

That's okay. I got to see him play a drag queen in 'Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert'. And then again in 'Lord of the Rings', only they called them "elves" in those movies. (Ahahaa.)

^^I've already seen Jessica, actually, & you're right. :)
^Winter Soldier is legitimately one of the best films in the franchise.
These all work as standalone things (so far): Iron Man, Incredible Hulk, Thor, First Avenger, Winter Soldier, Guardians, Ant-Man, Daredevil, Jessica Jones, & probably Doctor Strange.
Other essentials (so far): Avengers, Age of Ultron, & probably Civil War.

Alright.
Saw Hulk. Got a friend who's got Thor and Avengers I could probably borrow those two off of. Got Netflix, so I guess I could watch DD and Jessica Jones (wasnt exactly on fire to watch either, but knowing Punisher plays a big part in the former makes that a sight more appealing). The rest...you know, whatever. None of them are on Netflix or Hulu, and they arent in the Redbox, so I guess I just see them if I see them. Streaming rentals and all.
Thank you, incidentally. I appreciate the recommendations.
(EDIT: I mean, I've wanted a good 'Punisher' adaptation literally for decades, and if the Daredevil show offers that where actual wide-release movies like 'The Punisher' and 'Punisher War Zone' have not...I'll take what I can get, man. (Although...you know, 'The Punisher' had a couple interesting ideas. Like, they kind of made a bad, trite, dumbed-down movie version of the "Welcome Back Frank" arc, but there were weird, interesting scenes. Like the bit where a hitman approaches Frank and plays him a song on his guitar before trying to kill him. That doesn't happen in the comics. It's weird. It's like something out of a Sergio Leone flick. It's too odd not to be somewhat appreciated.)
(*still crossing fingers for movie adaptation of dazzler/luke cage power man/iron fist comic*)

^The Netflix version of Punisher has been so well received that they're planning to give him his own show.
(Luke Cage & Iron Fist are gonna team up on Netflix too; each will get his own series, & then they'll be in "The Defenders" together.) :)
If you're looking for what you can skip, the weakest installments are by far Iron Man 2 (which I know you've already seen) & Thor 2. And if you really wanna reduce your Cap exposure, you can get away with skipping First Avenger & go straight to Winter Soldier. At this point, Thor 1 is also kinda optional, as long as you know how his powers work & his family relationships.
And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

God there's so much that I frankly wasn't able to keep up. I only saw the first season of SHIELD. I completely missed Agent Carter. Daredevil and Jessica Jones are the only shows I'm keeping up with.
Where does Batman v Superman fit into the timeline
it doesn't fit into the timeline
it does however fit into a dumpster, where it belongs
heyohhhhhhhhhh
anyway here's my tier-list of MCU movies:
Great Tier:
Captain America: The Winter Soldier
Guardians of the Galaxy
The Avengers
Iron Man
Good Tier:
Ant-Man
Iron Man 3
Avengers: Age of Ultron
Captain America: The First Avenger
Meh Tier:
Thor
Thor: The Dark World
The Incredible Hulk
Iron Man 2
The only TV show I've watched is Jessica Jones because I have way too much other stuff in my Netflix queue so I haven't gotten to Agents of SHIELD, Agent Carter or Daredevil. Jessica Jones is soooooo good though.

Captain America: The First Avenger felt amazing the first half and then the second half is just "quick montage of war stuff and then Cap gets frozen in the ice"
I actually had fun with Iron Man 2. I wasn't a fan of 3. It's okay. But I don't like it anywhere near as the first two.

Given to understand ooga-chaka is fairly prevalent in 'Guardians'. I despise ooga-chaka. How much does it occur? Watching the movie, would I be able to resist the impulse to self-terminate? I feel this is an important question.
