The Last Samurai, where Tom Cruise's character fights with a samurai using wooden swords. He gets thrashed but keeps rising. It's a visually striking scene with incredible music.

Well, there's that crazy stairway fight in 'The Protector'. And towards the end of 'Who Am I?', there's a great fight between Jackie Chan and these two jokers on the roof of the bad guy building.
'Goldeneye' has some great sequences. The whole pre-credits scene, the lunatic tank chase through the streets of Piter, and...you know, I love that fistfight between Bond and Trevalyan on the sattelite antenna.
'Die Another Day' is pretty weak, but there's an awesome swordfight between Bond and the evil guy. If you haven't seen 'Die Another Day'...don't bother; just watch the swordfight.
Hey, look, it's Madonna.

I probably watched GoldenEye 30 times the summer my friend let me borrow it. I was obsessed.
The John Wick franchise is full of great stuff reel to reel.
Big fan of the hallway fight in Oldboy. Also the club fight scene from Ong Bak, and the fight against The Beast in Kung-Fu Hustle.
The fight in Pacific Rim with the "elbow rocket" punch brought me childlike glee.

A few off the top of my head:
The ladder fight in First Strike.
The final fight in Iron Man 3.
The elevator fight in Winter Soldier.
The Grand Canyon chase in Independence Day.
McClane duping Hans with the gun in Die Hard.
And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

Re: What's your favourite action movie scene?
So 'Shaolin Sabre vs Wu-Tang Spear: Odd Couple' is a classic kung-fu comedy from the seventies. It stars Sammo Hung and Lau Kar Wing as a pair of old kung-fu masters who have, for decades, met once a year for a duel (ostensibly to the death) to determine whether the sword or the spear is greater. Only every year the fight ends in a draw, because neither one can bring himself to kill the other; so they agree to take on disciples and have the disciples duel in their stead. And each actor plays the other's disciple. It's loaded with great fight scenes, and it's pretty funny, too. It's free on YouTube.
Say, have any of you guys seen 'Shaolin Soccer'? It's by Stephen Chow, the same madman who made 'Kung Fu Hustle', and it is similarly bonkers. I like it a lot.

I truly do not know. Too many to describe.
Rick and Morty seems to do this without even trying.

^ Technically Rick & Morty isn't a movie, but yeah, it does actually have pretty great action scenes.

Re: What's your favourite action movie scene?
...the individual seasons of 'Red vs Blue' kind of function as movies. And so I have to think of that one sequence from S9, like the heist. From when the freelancers start fighting Sharkface, the orbital strike, the jump, into "Falling Towards the Sky", the insane freefall gunfight, the hovercraft rescue, the building kasploding, the crazy-ass chase down the freeway, Tex and Carolina giving each other a run for their money...it's right up there with the start of 'Goldeneye', or Indy taking on the panzer in 'Last Crusade'. It's un-friggin-believable. It's blisteringly intense. This was RT at the very top of its form, man.

Everything in Total Recall. All Arnie movies are the "Best Movies" even the lame kids shows.
