The streaming service will not be ordering a second season of the action-horror series based on Capcom's popular video games.
Although it debuted in the top 10 on Netflix, Resident Evil went outside of the most watched shows after only three weeks. Critics gave it 55% on Rotton Tomatoes and the audience score was 27%. In our own review here on Nintendo Life, we labelled the series "yet another misfire in the world of live-action adaptations".
"In trying to please both newcomers and longtime fans, it just doesn’t stick the landing at all. The callbacks to iconic moments from the games are certainly cool for veterans, but accomplish little more than muddy the waters for newcomers to the franchise. On the flip-side, the show’s insistence on breaking away from the overarching narrative of the games means that veterans are going to come away from this feeling crestfallen and, frankly, confused."
It's not the first time Netflix has axed a live-action adaptation based on a popular series after one season, and it probably won't be the last.

About Resident Evil TV series. It was more like a rewrite. They turned Barry into some elderly zombie man with a wife feeding him cats while handcuffed inside a bathroom. They made it more about Lesbian sisters one who sides with Umbrella etc. Made Weskers into a bald "Black-man" playing the ballad of the intel blue guys, They had a whole bunch of RE zombie animals that are just there for some reason.
Might as well watch "Stranger Things" and the whole "papa" bs you have to sit through to actually feel sorry for 01, rather then 10. What I am watching in RETV is basically for that girl ( again all of the content made for streaming is directed towards women... ) who partied and like
______ but now she is at home raising children and is too cheap to actually care. But not it is more or less for people like my mother, and her co-workers who sit down and burn their lives away looking at "Beast Master TV" and "Highlander TV"
That is why RETV/Blah blah service failed.
1. It does not connect with the RE videogame fans nore has anything to do with them asides for usage of popular names and terms.
2. Have nothing to do with the RE movies at all
3. It gives you this gigantic "Fallout" "MadMax" world. Essentially it is fallout TV.
You ask yourself why am I looking at this?
I am looking at "Stranger Things" because I am a fan of "Heathers" and "Beetlejuice" and find it interesting to see if Rinoa Ryder and where her life continues from. That is it. Everything else is like. When are the tweens going to kill 01 yet, when is the fattish old cop-guy going to have another fight scene with the Eastern European guy, or when are we going to actually see some tit or crotch shot from Uma's spawn.
What RE have? Black Weskers. He is named Weskers but is clearly not him at all. An Arabic and or Indian Umbrella employee who shoots her own son because he got infected? Some west blonde girl v. Eastern black-haired _____ Eurasian girl in some kind of fight. Oh wait they might be more then friends, or sisters, they might be hidden lovers. Bullying on the most lowest level possible where the father does not get a lawyer because he fears losing his job. Free Willy the zombie fish, oh noes here comes the Helicopter for another lame girl-fight and or talk scene.
I feel like death looking at this stuff, why god why.... even "Monk" ( yes that detective show ) is way more fun then RE Netflix. Did I just forget we are following around a woman who is clearly mixed for a blonde chick or did that go blank. Yes I miss Weskers from the PSX video\

streaming internet media is made for people who do not want to download because they are so cowardly they do not vote thinking they will get fired for voting for the wrong person. Like the way it was back when we were just itching to down load "Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children " or even "Mario v. Donkey Kong" only to find out it was a just video of a canary inside of a cage, or some other file that was not GBA compatible. Or even remembering the film-handler who was uploading "Kill Bill" while it was in production. The unedited, uncompressed movie itself.

The only bonus is for actors and amateur film directors. They get tons of face-time, tons of actual paid ( that money you get every time your movie/tv etc episode is aired, they get a check in the mail just for that. Like the Lion King singer who gets royalties every time the song is published or used by Disney oppose to a one time deal ).
Face-time is when any actor gets their face shown, acting abilities used, or even is able to have spoken lines. Take actor "Enrico Colantoni" who always seemed to play the broken-soft-spoken-man. I can remember not only his roles but his expressions and faces. Why would I want to remember a balding Canadian man who never shaves. They could get paid $300 a day
Background actors - when an actor is shown in the background usually extras. Oppose to face-time. They are usually extras hired to appear on the background as extras. They get paid $100 for the day standing around.
Familiar actors could possible make $100,000 a year just for having their name in the titles.

That being said if you actually read up and check out the portfolio of an actors they might appear in many works but usually that could be minor roles to just plain background actors or oddities. The biggest problem with actors is not to be stereotypical players. Like when you see a homeless person you do not see a nicely dressed man, and usually they show people in ordinary clothing they make them dress up bland and boring. Oppose to somebody who is suppose to be living normal with a normal house and everything wooden only then show them to be colorful rather then whatever. Most actors only are appearing in "A-listers" roles depending on the popularity and originalism of the actor themselves and the kind of roles they are going to play and want to play.

I didn't know any of those details. Honestly, it's one of those shows you know sucks from trailers alone. It's too bad, because Resident Evil never got a good live action adaptation.
The best way to do it would be to stick to its roots. Do a purposefully corny B movie style, in keeping with the style of the original live action cutscenes from Resident Evil 1. It should be easy as hell...

That is the problem. Once a movie is over, you do not go back into it.
With TV they could make long episodes and do
1. Suggestive content. Like marketing LGBT, separation of the sexes, drunk driving, Fear, Alienation, brainwashing, racism, hygenic grooming
2. Product placement. AKA every moment is one big ad moment. Like how "Driver" the movie series turned into one big car commercial at times.
3. Face-time, Spoken.

I do not want to say that but honestly. I think it was constant racism towards the characters. The moment you turn on to watch this show you are greeted with a bunch of non-europeans ( non-white people ) taking the lead role any mention of the original game characters is seen as a bad joke.

The problem is these creators often have no respect for the source material, you could call this show anything else and nobody would have suspected it was Resident Evil related.

Eminem was financially successful but I don't know if he was the most successful. I'm actually surprised he attained the success he did in the rap genre being white, and I certainly don't think that was of any particular boon to him. Maybe if he was doing country music or rock.
Yeah, Resident Evil needs a reboot. It's a big mess, and I don't think any of the mainline entries after RE4 were true Resident Evil games, survival elements went out the window. Then they became FPS games and that's just not what Resident Evil is supposed to be.

Eminem was very publicly mentored by Dr. Dre, his songs were about the same kinds of real-world problems as other rappers' songs, & he was/is genuinely talented. His race was certainly a factor in his success, because that got him into certain households that otherwise would not have permitted his music, but there's a reason he never became a punchline like Vanilla Ice.

If "certain" is code for what I think it is then I'm not sure those households would be receptive to rap regardless of the singer's race, but this is all speculative, I don't think it could be proven either way.
This isn't Resident Evil related per se, but I saw this and thought it was mildly interesting since Capcom hasn't really done anything with the Dino Crisis IP in a while. I didn't think it deserves its own thread though. Makes me wonder if they're flirting with the idea of a remake akin to their Resident Evil remakes, something similar happened with Chrono Cross before it was remastered:
