In 2084, Mars is a colonized world under the tyrannical regime of Vilos Cohaagen, who controls the mining of valuable turbinium ore. On Earth, construction worker Douglas Quaid experiences recurring dreams about Mars and a mysterious woman. Intrigued, he visits Rekall, a company that implants realistic false memories, and chooses one set on Mars (with a blue sky) where he is a Martian secret agent. However, before the implant is completed Quaid lashes out, already thinking he is a secret agent. Believing Cohaagen's "Agency" has suppressed Quaid's memories, the Rekall employees erase evidence of Quaid's visit and send him home.

En route, Quaid is attacked by men led by his colleague Harry because Quaid unknowingly revealed his past; Quaid's instincts take over and he kills his assailants. At home, he is assaulted by his wife Lori who claims she was assigned to monitor Quaid by the Agency and their marriage is a false memory implant. He flees but is pursued by armed men led by Richter, Cohaagen's operative and Lori's real husband. A man who claims to be Quaid's former acquaintance gifts him a suitcase containing supplies and a video recording in which Quaid identifies himself as Hauser, a Cohaagen ally who defected after falling in love. According to the recording, Cohaagen brainwashed Hauser to become Quaid and conceal his secrets before securing him on Earth. Hauser instructs Quaid to return to Mars and stop Cohaagen.

It's really good.

It's weirdly, like, my second favourite Arnold movie (after 'Conan the Barbarian'), my second favourite Paul Verhoeven movie (after 'Robocop'), and my second favourite Phillip K Dick movie (after 'Blade Runner')

...speaking of 'Robocop', incidentally, let's not speak of the remake. Or the remake of 'Robocop', or of 'Conan the Barbarian'. I mean, I get it. I understand, I truly do. I want more of my favourite stuff. I wanted more 'Blast Corps', and, well, I kind of got it------------I got 'Toy Commander', and 'Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts'. You know? Sometimes the things we actually want aren't the things we ask for. You go out and find the new best thing, or the next best thing. If 'Conan the Destroyer' is crap, hey, watch 'The Mummy' instead. That's fun.

Some of the aliens on Mars are kinda gross for no reason, but other than that it's a fun flick.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

They botch the remake up. It is impossible to watch. "Total Recall" is my most favorite film. It is perfect ( the original ) in every way.

What is up with that movie ( the new one ) . Everything is grey, we see one guy with colorful dread-locks, and the guy who dies is not a baby inside a guys body with mind-powers but a clone.

Is the world so unhappy ?

Yeah, the original Total Recall is one of my favorite Schwarzenegger films. It might be my favorite too, or maybe Terminator 2.

Terminator 2 feels kind of Jaded once you realize they omitted the future in the later movies.

I think T4 is way better usage of the IP. In fact the videogame made recently is actually fun. Even the Genosys movie ( where Cyberdime actually has feelings and emotions ) was awesome. 3 is in the garbage-bin....who was that???

I have not seen the tv series ( with Gracie from "The Nanny" playing Sarah ).... but Genosys ending actually look interesting and Arnie gained metalic morphic abilities from T2 mold

Idk man, T3 was good. A lot of people just seem to not like it because of the female terminator but it's the last good one imo. Lots of good action, the bathroom fight scene was awesome. It had flaws though, especially the ending, I didn't like that too much.

I is not about gender bender bs. It is about male bashing and constantly putting ideas like old, outdated, blah blah blah. Men are useless. It is sad and dumb. It is like if Mr. Burns had a daughter or grand-daughter that just decided to waltz into his life and take over his position while he was kept inside of a lab or something. It is like if Nintendo just admit that "Mario 3d world" is really a game meant for Peach. That is why we have the cat suites.

In terms of Arnolds age range ( my dads and his brothers ) that could be proven true. Yes we could take an elderly woman and give her a makeup job, air-brushes, plastic surgery, breast, but, and etc surgery and injections just to match up to what most women of African decent have automatically from they were twelve. Yes women do have a longer shelf-life in that aspect. Even rebuild the whole vaginal area.

But otherwise the movie had too much
1. I am outdated
2. Breast enlargements via marketing advertisement makes machine happy.
3. I am useless because assassinating John O' Conner is not good enough anymore.
4. His wife is a better fighter then him.

.......... Every movie after T4.

5. Lets have cyber-dime evolve as a kid into an adult, and then assassinate John himself by transforming him into a machine-organic creation.
Lets basically bridge the gap between Terminator and Matrix while ignoring robo-cop, Blade-Runner, and Alien or Predator.
. Lets leave the series by writing out John O' Conner entirely having a bunch of Terminators go back in time over and over again.
6. Lets make a new John O' Conner. That is Latino because that where Christian America is heading to, as with Madonna's live shows. Just as with EvilDead...
