Re: Home Alone Movies
I like the first two a bunch. Third one is a bit lesser (lack of legacy characters, plus instead of just dimwitted robbers it's got a weird Die Hard thing going on)
I hear the fourth one is kind of stinko. Macauly Culkin brought a copy along when he was a guest on 'Best of the Worst' couple years back, and everybody said not only was it lame, but also it barely even felt like a Home Alone flick owing to the kid's traps being kind of weaksauce and the kid not being remotely home alone (parents and family servants were there with him).
I watched the first one with the kids last year. I like the first two best----------competent flicks with good acting and great music (John Williams, man). Favourite bit is when Harry and Marv first come to Kevin's 'home' and Kevin pelts Marv repeatedly with bricks while Harry taunts him. Funny scene.

Re: Home Alone Movies
The first two were favorites of mine as a kid. Haven't watched them a lot since then, maybe a couple times long ago. The rest were not interesting to me even back then. As soon as I saw they got a new cast I lost all interest.
If anyone watches AVGN there's a fun episode starring Macaulay Culkin playing the tortuous games in the series.

Re: Home Alone Movies
I haven't seen a Home Alone movie in years. I've seen the first three many times each, particularly the first two. I think I saw the fourth movie once, and I'm pretty sure it was dreadful. I like the kid in the third one, but the rest of the cast was meh.
To me, you are the teacher in the Charlie Brown cartoon.
