The movie should end with Tom starting to say something but it cuts to credits immediately

This looks so bad it physically hurts.
Watching Chloe Grace Mortez act as if something is in front of her but in that liminal space of acting where it's like "act but also remember this is a kid's movie so pretend to act" is really jarring to watch.
